Okay, thanks for the help, then I'll try to contact some developer who knows these subtleties.

Okay, do you know where I can find information on how I can do this? Of course, there is an option to contact some developer who knows, but can you suggest other options? Am I missing the instructions that are on the Website somewhere???

(thanks for the help anyway).

nothing is happening with my project's page. I'm trying to figure out how to add an update. If you want, I can take screenshots and you can tell me where to click. To add an update, I would be VERY grateful :)

If you even know how to do it, of course?

1)uploading files next to the old version and marking it in the update.

or

2)updating via butler

because

"No, simply update another file by the same name. I'm not sure what's going on there."

•idk. It doesn't work. I can't update the files. I can delete or add a new one. Perhaps the platform would have realized that I was trying to "update files" if I uploaded the exact same File with the name but a new version (next to the old one, this is what is described in "1)". does this work?

-because there is no refresh button or instructions. When I edit, I can only upload a new one or delete existing ones.

(thanks for the help)

I tried to figure out how to update and found out that I was missing butler, I didn't know about it at all, lol. as I understand it, you need to update through it?

But I found information on the Internet that you just need to upload files to the past ones without deleting anything, and the site should figure out for itself which version is relevant by version number. (as I expected)

so how is it worth doing it anyway?.

am I uploading my update via "edit game" right? Because that's the only way I can upload files. but there is no update button or add an update or add another version, like, there you can either hide the old versions or delete them or add it.

•let's say there is a PC version, I uploading  it next to the previous one without deleting the old one, but the platform understands that this is a new version due to the note that this is version 0.8, when the old one was 0.7. Is that how it works????

•and then I create an update and mark these versions, and it turns out that the site understands that these are the latest updates Or what?

after adding versions to the development log, the button and the ability to download files disappeared.

if I had found a detailed update guide somewhere, I wouldn't have asked this question. but I didn't find it, if it exists at all.

I can make a new post in the development log. So...

I have a new version of the game on my computer and the first version on the game's website.

(I haven't found any detailed instructions for updates. And I didn't know what to do in this case. )

I did everything right?:

•I deleted the old version from the " in edit game" website and uploaded the new version, and then marked it in the update.

But for some reason it was impossible to download the game, I had to delete the versions again and re-download them.

Then they appeared, but now they are not marked In the update. :)

I added the development log.

so, I was told that this would be checked.

How do I know that the game is being checked?  (how do I know that the verification is completed?)

•And when will the game rise to the top of the recently published list by tags? (itch io notifies me if the update has been checked or something?)

I added the development log, or rather the first update. it's basically the first one. but I was told that even so, it should go to the top of the list by tags. the game existed before that without a development log.

so I posted update, but accidentally marked it as a technical change, but then changed it to a General update. I hope it doesn't affect anything.

After the release of this update, there was no notification from the platform that a review would be conducted.

(this is actually my first time publishing, so I don't really understand these subtleties, but I can't find the answer to my questions)

I uploaded the game, but it wasn't indexed or verified (someone said it should be), but it immediately appeared on the site, that surprised me, but okay.

•I published the game, but I didn't have the Developer's Diary, and now I have an update, and I'm wondering if I post it, will the site consider this update as the initial version or independent?

I'm going to be at the top of the new game list or what??

•by the way, about updates. How long can a game update be, if I just partially changed the design or added small new features, does that count? If you edited the visual part but didn't add levels or something.
