I could just be misreading what this data represents, but it seems strange to me that there has been only one referrer. I don't know how someone would find the game without having had searched for it, which should show up in the referrers list. Your theory of someone with the page open in the background makes a lot of sense, that could explain why the referrers list doesn't show more data.

Recently, one of my older games "Factory Worker" has been getting much more views than expected. For the majority of its lifetime the game has had no clicks in any given month, as expected. The views bar chart in the analytics tab tells me the game has been viewed many times for almost every day over the past month, and represents a majority of the chart.  I would like to find out why this is happening/what changed.

The highest was 18 views on the 15th, though there doesn't seem to be a downward or upward trend, mostly just a random amount of views every day. The game has not gained any extra browser plays or downloads despite the increase in views. This leads me to theorize that people are trying to find something else with a similar name and are mistakenly ending up on my game's page. My second theory is that these are 'phantom' views that do not represent real people.

The referrers section of the analytics tab shows that some people have found my other games through searches, and one person found "Factory Worker" by searching for the tags "Management"+"Godot"+"3D", but otherwise doesn't give any clarifying info. In fact it actually undercounts the views: It claims that I have had a total of 20 visits over the past 30 days, which is a small fraction of what the bar chart claims for "Factory Worker" alone.

I have also attached Google Analytics to my pages, though I am not familiar at all with using this tool. It claims "Factory Worker" has received only 12 views over the past 30 days and 0 over the past 7 days. This conflicts with both Itch's bar chart and referrers list.

If there is some factor that is causing this game to be more popular, I would like to know about it and see if I can recreate that factor for future projects. I am very confused about getting different numbers from each source. Where are these views coming from?
