Why was I so scared to get toasted?! xD
Super fun! Would have been better if my mouse stayed inside the screen, ran into a bug where my mouse could slide out. Great game otherwise, good work!

Thanks for the honest feedback bro! You're RIGHT! Nobody reads the description, that's for losers! From now on, on-screen directions will mandatory in ALL my games!
Glad you still managed to enjoy it, I hope to fix it up just a tiny bit when the jam is over. Things like fixing the bug and adding a texture to the dough & bullets. Maybe increasing difficulty?
Okay guys pro tip: 'shake' your mouse to re-angle your own ice cube, if you overshoot it, get away from the laser and shake your ice back into place! And go for damage first, it's your best bet!
I LOVE the use of reflection here! Such a great mechanic! And power ups made the game loop great!\
Like others said though, that starting life is pretty low!
I actually really enjoy how slippery the ice cube was to control! I get that it could be confusing though, and it does feel a little intuitive. If you could somehow keep the slipperiness but increase intuitiveness I think it would be awesome! Great game!
OMG! Top presentation rating for the adorable art! Animal Crossing inspiration? If so, nailed it! Perfect for comfiness! Music was calming too! And the game played a bit so don't beat yourself up about it! Only critique I have is that the you don't need two sound effects for changing scenes, the door sound effect was enough.
I suggest that itch.io expand it's current 5-star rating system into the multi-criteria rating system usually used in Game Jams:
- Gameplay/Mechanics
- Visuals/Art Style
- Narrative/Writing
- Audio/Sound Design
- Or anything similar.
I believe many users(myself included) feel a sort of 'rating anxiety'. In the current 5-star system, anything below a 4-star can feel punishing to the developer even if only one aspect of the game was lacking while another part was peak. This leads to many users skipping rating a game entirely rather than leave an honest, lower score.
SOLUTION: Allow developers to enable "Optional Granular Categories" for their game's page. This would encourage specificity for game rating. Where I may give a game 5 stars for Art but 3 stars for gameplay which lets me sing the praises of the artist without falsely claiming the game is a masterpiece in every area.
This should also allow for an optional overall rating. Let users choose to leave these specific ratings WITHOUT having to provide a single overall score that affects the site's main search ranking to allow for a more gentle constructive feedback to help devs grow without burying their game in the algorithm.
Thanks for hearing me out, hope you consider the idea!
