4X2's a small puzzle-platformer, but your actions are restrained by your 8 keys!

Each level you will have to carefully construct your own sequence of actions to reach the headphones -

Jump, dash, change your gravity and rotate the entire level by 90° to reach the end!

I think this was my mistake : I did not explain precisely that you should be only executing the ROTATION ability twice only AFTER the gravity was played -> therefore, you should have died to the lasers rather than the spikes! Sorry!

We noted your suggestion for the death animation!

May you explain your attempt at level 7 so I can try to understand your situation, since the fix is supposed to work universally? This may allow me to write down a second fix!

Anyhow, the camera idea is indeed true, in addition to the maps!

Edit: I added a better description of the fix (I specified that you have to use the DEBUG key 7 twice only after the gravity ability is played -> then, the player needs to wait for the second gravity to send them down and die to the lasers -> (dying at 180°))

Great execution! Here's my feedback :

- Enemy hit boxes are great for the player, as they're small, allowing us to move adequatelly around the enemies. But sometimes, when the enemies are close to the lasers, even if technically they're not being hit, they seem to be supposed to.

- I like the balancing of your upgrades, but I have a hard time seeing the difference between level 0, 1, 2, etc. of the begs - maybe a time description would help?

- The UI sprite for the bombs looks like an enemy boss counter. When I placed a bomb, I then understood its significance - but maybe that's just me because I'm too tired right now! :D

- Later in the game, the bomb radius gets so large that it leaves you stuck in corners. Since enemies spawn so close to you, it’s almost impossible to dash into the bomb to avoid getting hit. The combination of the large radius and close enemy spawns makes survival really difficult.

- Your HP UI is far from the gameplay, and when you're looking away from your character, it’s hard to spot. This can distract you from the action and make it difficult to keep track of your health.

- When you make a reflex angle with your pegs, the yellow area of the mesh extends outside of bounds, which means it’s not covered by the laser borders. This creates a weird visual cue.

- The enemy that attacks pegs moves so fast that your circuit often breaks. As the enemies start covering more space, it becomes harder to make shorter circuits, especially when the game progresses and more enemies appear on screen.

That's all! Your game is great, cohesive, catchy and intensive!

You're totally right about that bug - some levels do have a map, but some others don't - you'll have to try it for yourself :)

You're right!

Here's the fix:

You need to die when your screen is turned 180°

STEP 1 : Put your GRAVITY ability once alone

STEP 2 : PLAY

STEP 3 : Go to the left corner

STEP 4 : Click quickly on 7 on the keyboard TWICE!

STEP 5 : WAIT until you DIE

Now, you can jump


This problem occurs because death does not reset the player's rotation, resulting in the jump ability always being activated towards the floor when the player starts the game!

We are aware of the abilities having some functional problems - and to fix this, you could try to die after a 180° turn to set back the player rotation to normal or 0 - and I'm sorry we did not have the time to send the new patch in! :(

If you ever run through a problem that way, you can use the debug keys 6, 7, 8 and 9!

If you ever run into a bug or you can't seem to pass a level
(probably level 14), you can use the debug keys 6, 7, 8 and 9 on your keyboard for their respective abilities! Sorry if it has caused any issues :)
