Minerals increase your Max Mass, so spending them also reduces the bonus they provide. It’s an intentional mechanic that encourages you to manage different resources depending on what you want to unlock. You can see the Max Mass bonus in the tooltip by hovering over either the Minerals resource or the Max Mass icon in the Stats section. That said, I agree that if you don’t hover over those elements, you may never realize how it works. I’ll try to make this mechanic much more obvious in the game.

Thanks a lot for the kind words and for playing through the demo! 😊 Orb of Creation was definitely one of the games that inspired Slime Reborn. As development continues and I add more mechanics, abilities, and systems, my goal is to make it feel much more unique while keeping what makes the genre fun.
Thanks for the feedback! For now, the core loop is about experimenting with different ability combinations to progress, but I'll keep working on making that clearer and more engaging. I also plan to add more mechanics so players don't feel stuck if they forget to equip a certain ability or buy a specific upgrade, since the game currently relies quite heavily on that. As for the scrolling on Mac/Safari, that's definitely a bug—I appreciate you reporting it, and I'll be fixing it in the next update!
Thanks for the feedback!
Could you explain a bit more about where the lag happens? Is it during a specific part of the game, or is the performance generally slow throughout the entire gameplay? That would really help me narrow it down.
Also, just to make sure, are you stuck at Level 4 because there are no upgrades left to buy? I'm already working on improving the XP progression for Level 5, but I just want to confirm that's the issue you're running into.
Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying the game! 😊
That's definitely an area that still needs more testing and balancing on my side. You can earn XP by purchasing more upgrades or completing achievements in the game. You can check the Achievements section by clicking the trophy icon on the left side of the screen. I'll also work on making this progression clearer in a future update.
Please let me know if there are no upgrades left to purchase and you've already completed all the achievements possible. If that's the case, then it's a progression issue on my end that I'll need to test and fix for the next update. Based on my own testing, though, you should have enough XP to reach Level 5.
Thanks for letting me know!
Hi everyone!

I'm excited to announce that the first public Early Access version of Slime Reborn is now available!

Slime Reborn is a pixel-art idle/incremental RPG where you begin as a tiny slime and gradually grow stronger by unlocking new abilities, gathering resources, discovering hidden combos, and evolving through powerful mutations.

This is only the beginning. I have many features planned for future updates, including:
- New abilities and upgrades
- More mutations and evolution paths
- Additional resources and progression systems
- New areas and events
- A combat system
- And much more!

As this is an Early Access release, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Whether it's bugs, balance, ideas, or features you'd like to see, your feedback will help shape the future of the game.
Thank you to everyone who downloads, plays, and supports the project. I hope you enjoy watching your little slime grow into something much greater!
Hi everyone!

I recently released the first Early Access version of Slime Reborn, a pixel-art idle/incremental where you play as a tiny slime that grows stronger by unlocking new abilities, gathering resources, discovering hidden combos, and evolving through mutations.
The game is still in active development, and I'm looking for honest feedback on everything—from progression and pacing to the UI and overall gameplay loop.
One thing I'm especially thinking about is adding a combat system in a future update. I'd love to hear how you think combat could fit naturally into this type of game without taking away from the idle/incremental progression.
If you have ideas for RPG mechanics, idle features, progression systems, or anything else you'd like to see, I'd really appreciate hearing them!

Thanks so much for taking the time to check it out! Every suggestion helps shape the future of the game. 💙
