Now this is a charming, and simple game that gives me incredible nostalgia for the early 2000’s flash games I played a lot! There is something addictive watching your colony grow, and slowly take over the whole screen. I had a lot of fun just trying to out maneuver the spiders until they overtook me, and wiped my army. The sound effects are great, and the controls feel very responsive. My only real complaint is how the camera hops around a lot once your army gets separated and picked off by the spiders. It’s a bit nauseating for me. Despite that this is a well made game, and something I can see evolving even further from this!

Incredible job on nailing the atmosphere of your project! The assets blend together well, and the music choice immerses me into the world you created! Your writing for the character right off the bat, captures their personality and the portraits you’ve made for them add on top of that! I do find the movement a beat too much to handle with how fast it is, and the map does seem to have a lot of empty space. Though you can argue that is how an office is. I did come across a bug that made me reset completely, and that was entering floor 15. The screen went black, and I was unable to do anything having to start over completely. You’re game despite that is incredible, and the cohesiveness of everything results in a fantastic project!

I love the idea, and concept of this game! I can see so vividly this evolving, and become something so captivating. From the care into the aesthetics, music, and world themes there’s a lot here to be proud of! Despite the known glitches I can see that the game has care put into it. Those lovely tiles I feel need to be explored even more, and somehow make their way into your background. The solid color breaks my immersion a bit, and I know it is something that will really add to this work! One thing I felt was weird was the position of the camera. It felt off as I was playing the game, and made me wonder if where I was jumping would lead me to my end or not. I think the foundation of this game is solid, and if you were to ever go back and refine what you have I believe would make something incredible!

This game right off the bat has a great soundtrack to it! The colors, and presentation is consistent plus the animations are extremely charming. Now you aren’t kidding when you say that timing the jump is crucial, and honestly most of my deaths are from failing those jumps. It makes it challenging to traverse this alien world, and I think that difficulty should stay. Yet I find it weird that I can’t utilize the jetpacks features if I’m in a freefall. The ability being linked to the jump makes it strange to learn at first, but you do adjust to it. Enemies hurt boxes also linger a bit after their deaths making for some cheap blows to the limited health pool. The game however is designed to be challenging,  and I really appreciate all the small details of the world. Especially all the helmets in the pits, despite what it insinuates.

The main thing that drew me into this game was the art style! You’ve really nailed the aesthetic you wanted, and the eeriness of the music adds even more to it. The music I do think is a bit loud, and since it is the only sound it becomes a bit repetitive. I think if possible adding footstep sound effects, and some for the monster can help elevate this wonderful tone you’ve created! I also noticed with the ball shaped monster, that its hitbox is a bit glitchy. Especially when it just ran through the wall. It takes some time for the monster to actually be able to be hit again even if most of the body is already out of the wall. It leads to the limited amount of battery charge feeling wasted despite them being hit by the light. Even with that it’s just a charming, and engaging game I found myself becoming really invested just to make it to the next floors.
