no need to apologize, my late response is surely a sign that sometimes it's hard to get around to stuff, even if youre interested in it lol.

i'm so happy you enjoyed :] a lot of my games, as i'm sure you've noticed, tend to deal with heavy topics in a way that makes them as nuanced and comprehensive as i can get. and as always, i appreciate the thought put towards my artwork <3

of course, many details of the story were intentionally left out to help me get the game done in time for the jam, but i appreciate the questions and once i finally get around to expanding the game fully, they'll all be taken into consideration~ a lot of both the protagonist and Meadow's actions are connected to the fact that they've had similar lives and experiences, though it's something i didn't get to explore in this demo.

thank you so much for your comment, and i apologize deeply for such a delay in response. the care and attention you've put towards my games is not without recognition <33

I haven't heard of that game, but I'm certain that's a compliment :]

And yes, the backgrounds are all hand drawn, but the music was only edited by me. Thank you so much for playing <3

this was a really cool game, i enjoyed it a lot. i think the vague storyline was really interesting, and i think you did a great job of making Eris a character to empathize with, despite knowing very little of their character and situation.

the battles were really fun, i had a great time playing :]

the whole game is really lovely~ the art is incredible, especially the backgrounds :]

the only critique i have is that i think the tragedy might've been a bit more impactful if there was a little more time put into making the reader feel a bit more connected to the characters. i just think there needs to be more emphasis on why they love each other to make it hit a bit more when the sad things happen, and then to have that really sweet ending~

but overall, i still enjoyed the story, the music, the art, etc. the voice acting was also really well done <33

ah, i'm sorry, i don't know enough about linux to help D:

i really love the concept of this game, and i think the gameplay is really interesting !

the gameplay is really tedious, though, and a little hard to really comprehend.  i think a tutorial would've been helpful.

aside from that, everything is lovely. despite the difficulty, the gameplay does, in a lot of ways, help convey the feeling of the story. that feeling of being trapped, of being lost, and frustrated. i love the meaning behind everything, and i kept wanting to see the end of the story even when i got upset at not being able to figure out the mazes.

this so well done, and really enjoyable !!

i love the little details like the way the music just stops when you scan the fish right before going into the dark depths, and then the soft lullaby music that plays while being pummeled repeatedly by the anglers lmao. the artwork is really nice too, i love how much the simplicity can convey tone, and i really love the jellyfish design :]]

i had a fun time playing, and the ending is really cool ! :] <3

i'm so happy you enjoyed !

i appreciate writing  compliments, i was really worried that a lot of the story might've just gotten lost in my head, so it's nice to hear that everything was understandable, and that the story came out the way i intended.

the artwork is always my favorite part of developing, and i'm sure that shows :]

there wasn't any audio, though i do plan on adding some music and effects later on, as well as cleaning up some glitches. real life got me a bit too overwhelmed to finish them for the jam, but i agree that a topic this heavy needs a better level of immersion.

thank you so much for playing :]] and Cole wasn't directly inspired by Yukine, but i have seen the anime, so i'm sure it was subconscious to some regard

<33

thank you ! :]

i'm happy you enjoyed :]

well, if you ever do add more to the game, i will always be more than happy to keep playing :) i wish you luck in all of your endeavors, though <3

I think this is such a cool concept, both as a game function and kind of a morality topic :) I would love to see more of stuff like this

this is honestly incredible. it's so simple, yet so introspective and interesting to play. a lovely experience, thank you <3

genuinely close to tears with how heartwarming the ending was~ 🖤
