Thank you! You’re exactly right on both counts: surrender a coin as you would with any other odd roll, but because it’s (lucky) 7 you roll again instead of passing the dice. I could have made it a bit clearer if I didn’t have to keep it so tight – like, obviously, you pass the dice after each roll unless told to roll again but all I had room for was “someone rolls 2d6 first”.
