Been following the tiktok for a while so excited to try the demo, only done up to end of stage 1 for now but here's my honest running thoughts as I went through:

  • Thought start screen was a load screen so maybe a click to continue sort of prompt
  • Font at start is not v dyslexia friendly so maybe an option for that/different font
  • Artwork fire on the load screen, but could only push the eye to read ‘loa’ and not full of ‘load’. Same with settings
  • A lot of the text is very hard to read. I checked my graphics settings and it’s correctly set to 1080p on a 1080p monitor
  • Maybe a text speed option
  • Artwork fire again
  • Couldn’t change clothes when stood on them, only in front
  • I think half the problem with the text is that it renders on the layer which you’ve downscaled, rather than on a gui layer on top so it’s very blurry (apart from dialogue boxes)
  • ?sfx when you kick the thug in the cutscene
  • Sometimes the gui renders off screen during the camera movements in combat
  • Opening the guide bugged my game entirely - it started rendering super slow and I couldn’t close it.
  • Maybe the guide could also include the button inputs for the moves as well as it being in the controls?
  • Hard to tell when I got hit
  • Not able to view controls through the pause menu/couldnt find the option

very nice and relaxing game. it took me a second to realise i could merge the plants which looked like grass too but fun and nice way to build up score/combo  tension with the lotus timer. only thing Id say is that sometimes my game would spawn with 3 plants in a row to begin with which i couldnt merge so maybe a check for that state after each semi reset?

I’ve realised the second one looks different cus it had compression artefacts so I had to run it through a 1 bit filter which made it a bit odd

thanks for the detailed feedback

I understand why asking, but ive got the layered aseprite files if needed

after my first loss i was like how am i supposed to do this and then i saw the upgrade page i was like nice! fun game, but i agree with other comment that sounds would be a nice addition

yeah i think its a bug from converting to html5 that i didnt have time to fix unfortunately, but glad you enjoyed

I like the uniqueness of this submission; dont think ive played another physics based game yet. It was fun but sometimes the nature of the controlls made the game feel a little clunky as sometimes things would fly out of my hand or i couldnt get a plant pot to stand up to put my flower into, but all in all a fun game

Wasnt too sure how to play, but the take on the only 2 colours at one time is awesome

Sorry wasnt sure how to play, please let me know and ill give a proper rating and feedback!

I love the simple style and warrioware-esque style of lots of minigames, just wasnt too sure how to progress, maybe i didnt play it long enough though

Lovely art and theming, but i found it was very hard to get the hang of the controls at the start :)

Fun gameplay and lovely music

I like the story concept and some of the sound effects made me laugh, but i feel like a little more gameplay or maybe a rough goal of how many flowers would have been nice :)

Fun game with great art and i love how the seedlings dance to the music

Ill always enjoy a bullet hell game and the colours and music are great, the only thing i found a little frustrating is that as the butterfly is chasing the mouse it sometimes felt a little unfair if i got hit even though my mouse was out of the way, but maybe thats a difficulty curve to get over as the player! :)

I like the graphics and the different take on the theme to others, but I agree with other comments that i wasnt sure what i was doing was the right thing at first

I like the idea of a plant platformer being able to move through and up other plants and non-linear levels, but I couldnt figure out where to go after i got to the top of the stage

Cool idea to be story driven rather than gameplay, but i found the game play a little repetitive but all in all fun
