Hi Neo Tiger, unfortunately the judges were unable to play your game in time for the judging period. Thank you so much for submitting, and we hope to have you join us for our next one!

Hi LandAquaman, congratulations on winning first prize! Please email christi@geopi.pe for next steps!

Hi! We will announce the results with a livestream next week, most likely on Tuesday 5/16 at 3pm EST.

Can't wait to see what you create! It's gonna (gonna gonna gonna...) It's GONNA BE MAY!

If you're stuck, take another look at the video- there are several different examples of "reflection" and "reflective properties" meant to help you think outside of the box!

We would love to see anything you create and there are definitely creative ways to incorporate the game theme into your game. In the past, contestants have found that they can interpret the theme in multiple ways!

Hey everyone! Just a reminder that everyone is welcome in our Discord, join us to connect and chat about how the jam is going! https://discord.com/invite/Q9MvRPR

ANNOUNCING the theme for Game Jam NYC:

(1 edit)

Hi everyone,

We're going to be announcing our Game Jam Theme on Sunday, April 16th! Can't wait? Join our Discord to get the reveal one day early and connect with other jammers and creators! See you there!

Absolutely, we encourage it! These models are designed to be adaptable and customizable, go wild!

We're glad to have you! Welcome :)

Hi! You can pull Geopipe NYC models into 2D games if you like!

Thanks so much!

We want to congratulate all participants and thank them for making this game jam so difficult to judge! It was so difficult to separate such high quality entries, and it came down to the ratings on this one!

To all contestants with a valid submission: please email me at christi@geopi.pe with contact info for your free gift!

We can't wait to see what you do next, and we'll see you soon for the next one!

-Christi

We will, and I'll be sure to send out an email!

Hi CiNdy! You can send it directly to me at christi@geopi.pe and I will keep it private for you!

Hi! Thanks for submitting, we are so excited to check out all of the games!
1. We have a panel at Geopipe rating the games to determine the winner.

2. The prize is for first place.

Thanks for checking in!

We currently do not have any rules limiting graphic capabilities!

As long as code is not directly stolen and no unlicensed trademarks are referenced, that should be fine!

There is no limit to the number of premade assets as long as you credit them.

Hi! You are allowed to destroy buildings. Our T-Wrecks demo shows this in action.

For your second question, do you have any more details for how you might accomplish this? It might be easier to give advice with a more specific game idea.

You are allowed to modify the models however you want! Feel free to change the textures to fit your needs

Hi, ctac5166! Thriller type games that do not include blood, gore, or graphic violence would be fine!

Hi! We will be accepting PC/Mac/Web/VR entries. And an .apk for a Quest 2 would be suitable, or a SteamVR build if that's easier for you to test+distribute.

Correct! As long as you use one (or more!) of our models of New York City, you can make any type of game as long as it respects our other rules.

You can certainly make a 2D game. The only requirement of our game jam is to use one of our models of New York City.

You're welcome to use plain untextured buildings or your own textures! As long as it's evident that you started with Geopipe's models/environments, in fact, you're welcome to edit and retexture the models as you see fit.

Hi Nickitus- we have a Discord with a "Join a Team" channel HERE

Same thing with ours- it's been up for more than a week.  It's not a "longer than a month" jam, so I don't understand why it isn't up?
