Thanks for playing and for your feedback.
>I think it's weird to have button prompt but only accept keyboard.
Yes, that was a bug. I make sure mouse can interact with the UI better next time.

 >I had 71 ping on average and my guy was jumping around.
I was getting that too. Testing the networking is the main goal for the this early test. I have a lot of planned changes to hopefully improve the experience.

Thanks again

Thanks for playing and providing feedback.

The interact flow and UI will be improved next time.

>Took me a minute to realize that the E key is for "Next" during dialog. Maybe let the player click the mouse where it says "Next".

My bad, that was a bug. All buttons activated via buttons should also be clickable. I will make sure the mouse can interact with the UI on par with Keyboard and Gamepad next time.

>Apparently, you have to point your mouse at an object in order to interact with it? It feels like you should be able to just walk up to it and press a button, but that's just me.

Agreed, the movement direction should be used if you aren't moving your mouse. I will have that fixed for the next demo day.

When it comes to collisions, I completely agree. I am hoping to replace my collision logic with rapier2d and iron out all the most of the jank.

There is a crapping animation. So thanks for telling me about not seeing it I will be checking that I didn't put it on the same z axis as the floor.

I will remove time limits for the starting quests and start thinking on how to inform the player what to look out for and where.

Thanks again for playing.

Its slow. Stopped when I got the 3 fireball guys and I felt like the upgrades to get past them would take too long. I wish I could have it do a run while a was looking at different tabs. the RNG was funny sometimes: like sometimes the potions would be dropping like crazy.

Thoughts as I am playing:
* CRT filter was hard to read fullscreen. Fine if not fullscreen. Not sure if mac issue.
* 2 on potions made me assume it was the count at first. Was confused at the start why it would disappear on use.
* Slow.  so slow

I played your demo before. And its much better than the last time. But I still feel like I do not understand craps. Bitcoin is over powered if you just a ton place small bets and it get bit enough that you never lose money. (maybe more bets you have the the higher chance of a crash)  I liked the number widget showing the winning ones and the losing numbers. Sometimes when placing a bet it would change the color from blue to yellow and was confused about that. Maybe a tooltip on why the number has the color.

After playing a bit I got to hell. Jester is the only way I did well imo. And starting luck seemed to really played a big deal on how well you do. If you die the first battle might as well restart. The later effects are cool but shop randomness really hurts any choice you have in a run when you don't have money and all you get are pricey items. Also I still don't know what the armor stat and foot stat do.

Thoughts as I was playing:
* At the start I was playing on a laptop and my brightness wasn't full so I really couldn't see the slots to drag things to.
* Squirrel died last battle but is back at the shop at half health and my other units are at full health?  (after playing I get it. Full health units just didn't get attacked)
* Ah the demon spawn thing has a 50% chance to spawn a enemy. Now I understand what I misread.
* Blue text on the blue thing is a bit confusing didn't know it was a number 1 for a while.
* Beehive isn't working? not seeing it spawn bees (after playing I get it I now, I didn't understand at that time)
* attempts 2 got my ass handed to me by other fishermen
* oh, top thing is a preview of what is going on and the next things.
* oh, dont rob the shop keeper. Though it was a free item option oops
* oh, pick pocket was the option I wanted
* I am stuck on a loading thing and it replays my last battle. restarted run
* oh shit I tried to swap to people and if combined them together.  Hopefully this is a good thing
* Jester and poison is nice maybe OP

(1 edit)

I played more than I was expecting.

Small deck of healing, blocking, and thorns is over powered. But I picked that to deal with the hoards of enemies. To me other cards didn't seem worth it.

The reward cards can be all over the place. 0 energy 3 block is OP.  Most high energy cards didn't seem worth the cost.

Took me forever to understand cleaning decks. Sometimes the remove options was open at the start so I thought I was replacing that card with the one I choose. Once you click on the remove button it only changes cards. Maybe have your deck size listed on the page so the player sees the deck size get smaller? or move the clean button so the user doesn't click it coming from a battle.

I only really put thought into what cards I removed and added into the deck. Other wise I was mindlessly using all the cards until I ran out of energy.

Interested in seeing future updates.
