Neat game!
The inventory management is a little buggy. For example, if you click an item that you have equipped in the inventory tab, it gets unflagged as equipped, so if you then click "destroy all non equipped", it will destroy it from your character

(Bug: The first pickarang upgrade seems to cost 2 mithril instead of the 1 it displays? Or maybe it was displaying I had 1 mithril when I didn't?)

I had one of these flashlights as a kid. The game made me think back on those times when I was charging it nervously in the dark. I think that idea of physically resisting the darkness and fatigue fits the narrative really well. Nice work!

I sometimes tend to go a little overboard on obfuscation of puzzles, but in this case I also had to cut half the villagers that weren't fully implemented when the jam time was running out. I tried to distribute the additional clues they offered to the other villagers but it wasn't perfect. I'm glad you still enjoyed it though! Thank you for playing!

What fun! Took me until the third loop to figure out and escape. Looks, sounds, and controls nicely!

Fun! I liked the little bonuses I got from each mission, like the turrets added to my base after the turret mission, or recruiting the vampire. It would be nice to have some toggle options for general ally behavior, like "defend base", "attack enemies", or "focus objective", because at times they were acting as a direct hindrance to what I was trying to do! It would also be nice to have the ability to turn off the auto-aiming. The guns all felt special and distinct from each other.

It was your first time playing? In that case, the load option shouldn't have appeared... I'll take another look at that, thanks.

Glad to hear it's working! I'm always worried I miss something.

I'm definitely open to ideas! The best place for sharing those is probably discord, but if you don't have that I'll be changing the comments here into a discussion board to better organize it.

Sorry about that. A prototype save system is no good if everyone crashes before they can even get to it :(
I updated it so it begins auto-saving from the start! Also fixed a few of those crashes. Thanks for playing!

Saving was made like that because it's just a prototype, but I've now updated it so it starts auto-saving from the start! I hope now it is at least #2 on your list :)

I can't stop the pausing on tab change, but it should keep going if it's in its own window, at least.

Save functionality has been expanded! The game is very early in development so I can't guarantee there will never be another crash that needs fixing, but at least your progress should be safe from now on!

The whole game lags, or just the box? I haven't encountered that issue myself. I just released a new version so let me know if that still happens.

Agreed. Saving is as it is because for a prototype, I went with a save system that was easier to implement. But it clearly isn't enough, so I'll be working on expanding it. The color extracting crash should be fixed now!
