Thank you, the difficulty was intentional as most Atari games were hard but the lighting on the enemies shots was not. I ment to fix that but I kept forgetting and always ended up tweaking other things instead 😞.

Thanks! Yes thats the first thing that came to mind when I though Atari lol. Im also a fan of shmups so I thought I'd try and combine it with something like Yars revenge, I'm glad you liked it!

You know whats crazy? I remember telling myself multiple times "hmm I should brighten the color of the bullets a bit." and then I'd proceed to tweak and fix something else 🤣. Eventually forgot about it and uploaded it . I'm glad you liked it though, and I appreciate the feedback!

I never thought I'd play a game that would have me saying "Leave me alone Provolone!" XD. That screen before you enter the building was a bit of a nightmare for me but I got through it eventually, it was just a matter of setting up the right angles to fire from early in the room to be able to take everything out.  I definitely wouldn't mind seeing a more fleshed out version of this with more stages, weapon pick-ups, and stages/Boss battles. Overall great job,  It's a great game and I'm a fan of shooters and would like to make one of my own someday in the style of Contra/Metal Slug and games like this are inspirational to see.

Really well done, the game was pretty fun and I can see it getting more complicated as the levels progress even more maybe more obstacles, or new neighborhood where you have to learn the names again. I could definitely see this game be expanded and be fleshed out and look something like the Postman version of Paper boy great job!

Yeah I'm sorry but that was kinda intentional on my part. I remember most Atari Games being unforgiving in terms of difficulty, but you can sometimes get lucky with a good combination of powerups. I might think about making a Difficulty setting in the future if I decide to expand a bit more on it. Thanks for trying it out though and I appreciate your feedback!

Thank you! yeah the size was something I had to make bigger since I wanted everything in one screen but the resolution to be good so I had to adjust the Viewport size which did end up making it a bit too big. I appreciate the feedback!

Also if your on Windows you can download the game, it runs/looks/sounds better when its running off the executable.
