I agree. Was definitely aching for that button during a lot of levels

Saw it on stream and had to go do what Mark couldn't. I honestly thought the game would be over by around level 10, but then you started introducing new mechanics and I felt like I'd discovered a secret game world that no one else knew about. The puzzles go pretty challenging but were quite fun all the way up until the portal mechanic. That one probably could use some more work as it's quite unclear what's going on with the portals in a lot of levels. Level 49 was hell to finally clear due to the difficulty in being certain where your snake has even teleported. beat all 50 levels, though, and I ain't mad about the hour or so you made me spend doing that. Keep it up.
Love the music by the way
Absolutely hilarious. Never has a game so deeply and digustingly made me feel like an absolute loser and I was laughing the whole time.
Obviously it feels like a gamejam game with everything cobbled together to just be playable, but it's such a silly story that I wasted over an hour gambling my family's life away in this stupid game. I watched my wife gaslight herself as I sold all of her posessions, I watched my children look into my eyes with baseless hope, and I heartlessly threw their hopes into the dumpster day after day, playing the odds at a game that was only really possible to lose. I spent all of my winnings on more gambling and I cheered when selling the silverware amounted to a super rare toy that I accidentally sent down the tubes for no profit.
What a game. What an excellent stupid game.

Fantastic. Hmu for music in the future if you'd like! Would love to contribute to such quality work. https://garrettvandenberg.bandcamp.com/album/squidge-ost
We partly liked the idea of an aspect of the puzzles being the exploration of the environment--clicking around and seeing what you can do. We originally even had several jokes we were going to include where objects could be clicked but did unexpected or silly things, like a box that you'd otherwise think could be resized but instead can be squidged to become sad.
But I agree that it can be frustrating when the tools to solve the puzzle you're being asked to work on aren't clearly presented. If we were to flesh the concept out more that would definitely be a good area to try to refine further.
Beautiful art and fun little idea. Unfortunately the enemies are consistently very close to the same colour as the background, so it's quite difficult to see when you're going to run into something that will cause you to take damage. A red outline or a less busy background would help bring some more contrast and ease of play. :)

I'm not worthy!
