After your comment, we did a few more playtests and discovered that when you replay the game, one of the monster types doesn’t die anymore.
That might explain why it sometimes feels like no damage is being dealt.
So thanks again for your comment — without it, we probably wouldn’t have found that out! :)

Aw thanks! Your comment made my day!
You're right that the battle system in the game can be a bit complex at times. We definitely wanted to fine-tune it further.
It is intended that the skills are much stronger than the regular attack, since using a skill also costs mana and contributes to the overflow mechanic — but we agree that the difference between them could be more balanced!
We also agree with you about the music. While implementing it, we weren’t sure if it was just us thinking it was too loud, but during testing, others said it wasn’t that bad…
In the end, we should’ve just added an option to control the music volume yourself :)
That’s definitely one of the first things we’ll add once we have time again!
Thanks so much for your comment. That was really kind of you!
Thanks for your comment and honest review! I agree with you — if we continue working on the game, we definitely want to bring more of the intro’s style into the rest of the game.
Since I had to do all the art by myself, I ended up rushing the pixel art for the level a bit more than the rest, so you’re totally right that it looks a bit rough.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to add visible damage feedback, but we’ll definitely keep that in mind! Thanks for pointing out that it affects the gameplay experience. The monsters walking through walls was also a result of time constraints, haha! We all just needed more time ; o ;
I also thought it was cool that we ended up with a similar concept, but yours still feels totally different and has its own unique mechanics — which are really cool!
I like that there are instructions!
The sound effects can get a little annoying after playing for a while however.
And you instantly die if you get stuck on one of the paint blobs.
You cannot retry the game, I would've like a game-over screen!
I also cannot see the special object, the brush? It looks a bit more like a baseball bat.
But the art is very cute and the game is easy to understand :D
The game is really cool! Love that everything is in 3D.
The gameplay is easy to understand, which is great, and it was fun to play!
The finished paintings are super cute, haha. The game over screen was nicely done too.
The only thing I can think of is that the timer is not very long, so it doesn't feel like you can get a higher score on the next playthrough.
I find the art style of this game really unique, and I love that I can tell it was hand-made—everything fits together so well!
The gameplay is nice and easy to understand, which is always a plus.
I do miss having some music, and when I move downward the little character sometimes gets stuck, but aside from that it’s a fun game and impressively put together in such a short time.
Keep it up—if you keep going like this, you’ll be making some truly awesome games in the future!
Just like someone else already mentioned, it takes a moment to figure out what you're supposed to do.
After that, it’s easy to play and flows quite nicely. The music is catchy and fits well.
The visuals are basic, but they make the game feel accessible.
I think with a bit more time, the execution of this game could turn out really well!
The intro of this game was really funny and totally unexpected.
The gameplay has potential, but I get the feeling you might have run out of time? It’s not clear what you’re supposed to do — there’s no explanation, and the way you’re supposed to color the people is a bit vague.
The music is cool, and the visuals are nice too, but it does feel a bit incomplete.
I think if you were to finish it, it could turn out to be super funny and fun to play!
I love anything to do with aquariums, so there was little chance I wouldn't enjoy this game!!
The visuals are really cool — the 3D models of the fish and the way they float around are amazing. The music is nice and calming, and using the brush to move all the fish is a clever idea.
The only real critique I can think of is that it takes a bit long for the tank to fill up maybe? I took some of my patience to wait for every fishie to spawn.
But other than that — truly a nice game! I’d say this definitely has a good shot at winning.
I really love this kind of game! The visuals look great, the walking sound is super satisfying, and the music fits really well too.
The brush effects are really nicely done, and the enemies are cute.
The upgrades are a great addition and make the game even more challenging.
I’m just not quite sure what the coins are for? But overall, really well done — definitely a top 5 game for me
I really like how it feels like everything was made in Paint.exe — so funny!
I also love the aspect where, if you paint too much, it overflows with paint — really clever idea! The sound effects that go with it are hilarious, by the way.
I also think it’s a really fun addition that you can export what you’ve painted as a PNG!
The only issue I had is that when it overflowed, the whole game started lagging quite a bit. But it didn’t really break the experience or anything. Nicely made! The only feedback I really have is maybe to add some music? But other than that — great job.
It took a bit of getting used to figure out exactly what to do, even with the detailed explanation (but that’s probably just me).
After fiddling around for a bit, I got the hang of it — and then it was really fun to play!
It’s put together really well, especially considering the short amount of time you had. The visuals are super cool, and this is definitely a top 5 game for me!
Really well done.
It was pretty tricky at first to understand how it worked, even with the explanation. There were a lot of elements to choose from.
But after messing around a few times, I started to get the hang of it. I think I’m still doing something wrong though, because I couldn’t figure out how to sell the paintbrushes once they were in the correct color :( Also I am missing the overflow theme a bit in the game as well.
The music is super funny — really entertaining, and it fits perfectly with the silly art style.
I think if this game had just a bit more time, it could have turned out really great!
The art style is really nice — it’s immediately clear what everything is, and the gameplay is easy to understand.
However, I’m missing both the theme and the object a bit… the object isn’t there, and aside from losing points when you do nothing, I don’t really see anything that "overflows" or any kind of game over screen. (The score just keeps going into negative infinity.)
But the art is definitely fun! Maybe some music in the future? It’s a nice entry overall!
The art style is cute!
However, in the tutorial I couldn’t go back after I died, and in some levels I had trouble making a certain jump.
I also missed having sound effects or music — adding that next time would really make the game even better!
I love that it’s a little painter guy and that he has to pick up different brushes for abilities. Cute game.
This was super adorably made! The art is cute.
I’m not entirely sure I fully understood the gameplay — you're supposed to fit 60 ink splats onto a piece of paper, but when I click on one, it just moves it. So in the later levels it almost seems impossible?
But maybe I’m just really bad at this kind of game, haha.
Either way, I found it entertaining to play!
Jeez, this was really fun to play! Hitting the customers was super satisfying, haha. I liked that there was an indicator showing where the mess was! The tiny manager was also super cute.
I honestly think this game has a real shot at winning — it really fits the theme and the object, and it’s very entertaining.
Awesome job making this in such a short time!
First of all, I think the idea is super original — I’m really impressed that you came up with the concept of painting boxes! The game plays really smoothly. It’s clear, simple, and easy to understand.
The music is catchy and fun. I also love that you can mix the colors.
This is definitely one of my favorite games among the entries!
The game looks super cute! I really like that you have to paint over the room with the brush. The music is catchy, and together with the sound effects, it all fits really well.
It's just not entirely clear when I've painted enough — at one point I finished the level even though the room wasn’t fully covered? And after completing it, I couldn’t click or continue anymore.
The secret level was hilarious by the way, haha!
On the "how to play" screen, the buttons are placed over the text, which made it hard for me to read.
When the game starts, the drawing suddenly feels offset from the brush compared to how it worked in the tutorial. I'm not sure if that's intentional?
But! Enough criticism — the game is really fun to play overall. I love the animations of the Nits, and the overall art style is super fun.
Very nicely made and definitely entertaining.
When I play, the game doesn't fit on the screen. Because it doesn't fit properly, it's difficult to manage painting on the canvas.
It's also hard to press the buttons with the paintbrush.
But.. The paintings are super fun and well made! I also really like the game's art style — it's very creatively and nicely chosen!
It feels a bit like those retro children's games you used to play back in the day.
The music is relaxing and quirky; it matches the overall vibe
Well, for a game made in just 10 hours, I think it’s impressive that you got this far!
It’s a nice and simple little game. The goal is clear and achievable.
The music is cheerful and well chosen.
Of course, there’s always room for feedback, but the main thing was that the ink pots/wells weren’t very clear under all the ink. Other than that, it’s all good!
To start off: the art is really beautifully done! I was immediately impressed by it. The music and sound effects fit well and really add some flair to the battle.
The gameplay itself feels a bit hard to grasp. Even after playing a few times, I still found it tricky to figure out exactly what I should choose.
But the game itself is really well put together overall — it just looks super polished.
The game is nice and easy to play and understand. It loops endlessly in a satisfying way.
I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be like this, but from the start, the enemies don’t really attack me — or only occasionally (maybe 1 or 2 out of 10), which makes it a bit less challenging. But I think the music is well chosen, and the sound effects really make it feel like paint! :)
I really love the cutesy vibes of the game! The intro story was very nicely illustrated.
It took me a little time at first to get used to how to play, especially because you have to do several things at once. But after a few tries, you get the hang of it pretty quickly and it becomes fun to keep playing!
It’s nicely challenging, and the sounds fit the game well.
It fits the theme, but maybe it’s just me — I didn’t really notice the special object? Or is the little plane supposed to represent a paintbrush?
It's a simple but addictive little game!
The background music specifically is really funky and well-made!
The gameplay is easy to understand and well put together.
As the only improvement, I’d say that if you had more time, it would be great to put a bit more effort into the visuals (for example, making the water pipes look more like actual pipes).
I think it’s really well made and fun
I don’t fully understand what I’m supposed to do—sometimes I get points and things go well, but when I do the same thing again, I suddenly lose points. A short gameplay description would’ve been helpful.
The game over screen is really funny, I didn’t see that one coming.
The intro music might be a bit too loud, but that’s something that’s often tricky to fix quickly.
It does feel a little incomplete, but if you were to finish it, I think it could turn into a really fun game!
I immediately clicked on airplane mode out of curiosity… so I ended up outside before I could even play the game! Haha, that secret ending really made me laugh though.
The gameplay is very unique, and I think it’s impressive that you came up with this idea for the overflow theme. It fits really well.
I’m not sure if the brush necessarily adds much in terms of gameplay, but it does what it needs to do.
The messages are fun to read, and overall the game runs smoothly. I genuinely think this one has a real chance of winning.
God, I love this idea and design so much! It’s incredibly creative and unique, especially the concept of using the brush to clear away the smoke!
The only thing is that when I play and move the mouse, the cursor flickers quite a lot. I also think the water button in the bottom left doesn’t work (or maybe I just didn’t see it properly, no worries).
I also believe that some music or sound effects would have really elevated the game!
But overall, it looks super fun and I found it addictive to play. Keep it up!
The intro story is really well done and a fun addition to the game!
The game itself is enjoyable to play, it gets more and more challenging, and cleaning up the toxic waste with the brush is a creative idea.
The only issue I had at times was that left-clicking to defeat enemies didn’t always register or lagged a bit.
But the sound effects and music really complete the experience!
The visuals are really fun and I find the gameplay super addictive! This is one of those games I could play for hours. The way the little characters move is really funny :D
The only thing I missed was a pause option after playing for a while, and maybe some music to really complete the experience. But overall, it’s very well made!
This game has a strong and simple core, which makes it fun to play. I’m impressed you managed to make all those levels in such a short amount of time! I like how the water really has that fluid motion.
The only thing is, like someone else mentioned, after a few plays it gets a bit annoying that the character has to slam the table every time.
But that doesn’t take away from the fun!
I absolutely love the art style: It gives me major nostalgic N64 vibes, so you definitely nailed that! The tutorial is really helpful and the gameplay is easy to understand.
The game does not really have an objective (Like what you should paint on the canvas) and I just think the overflow theme could have been a bit more present than just Brushy breaking, but overall I thought it was a fun game to play.
