Hi everyone!
I'm a software engineer, and for a while my daughter and I have been making small games together for fun. Lumenphage grew out of one of those. It's my first game put in front of strangers, so here goes...
Lumenphage is a physics game you can play in your browser. Also works on phones and tablets.
Play it here: https://gahrae.itch.io/lumenphage

You're a single cell drifting in dark water. There's no engine. To move, you throw away a piece of yourself, and the recoil pushes you the other way. Every push costs mass, and mass is life. Eat anything smaller than you, stay away from anything bigger, and try not to spend yourself to nothing getting there.
What's in it:
- A campaign that starts with a short tutorial and works up to gravity wells, hunters, and pickups
- Quick play modes (Vortex, Drift, Sediment, Lattice) and a set of maps drawn from biology: slime mold, heart, neuron, nuclear pore
- A daily challenge and an endless expedition mode, with seed codes so you can share a run
- Mouse, keyboard, gamepad, and touch controls
You can also make your own stuff. The built-in editor lets you draw a level out of shapes, place gravity wells and walls, and script what happens with triggers and actions. You can design new creatures with their own behavior and color, and new pickups with their own effects, then drop them into your levels. Put levels together into a campaign and export it as a file to share. Much of the game was built with these same tools.

Still in development. Any feedback is welcome (can given from within the game) or shared here or on Discord: https://discord.gg/YVAscK4EDw
The level editor is pretty robust :D. I "re-created" a few arcade classics using it in the Remix campaign (e.g. Space Invaders, Pacman, Bubble Pop) Excited to see what other people make!
Thanks, have fun, and enjoy.
