Retrospective:
Overall, I was happy with how far I got and how I rescoped the project. Originally, I was going to make a merger game since I know that game genre is really popular on mobile and one which I play. However, because I ran into problems with visual scripting where there are several features supported with C# scripting but literally not in Unity's Bolt visual scripting system, I had to pivot. Instead I went for a gesture based game that was easier to develop-- and spent my remaining time on more polish features instead of trying to force a merger game to work with visual scripting within the scope of this game jam. Honestly, think I like what I pivoted to better because it's more unique!
