I know it's been a while since your post, but I started using the free sample in this template project that I'm making. It's a game completely built out of mods, but if you just start the isometric 2d prototype project, you can see how I hooked it up.
Very cool game, I like how the music atmosphere changes when you're in the water & the different movement style of in water vs on land. The rain coming in sideways to affect the jumping movement was fun too!
