If I were you I would make another game like this, maybe try out a game engine as well, they can help with larger scoped projects a lot. I love this kind of art project, it reminds me of weird films like eraser head in style, great job!
Also, for a recommendation for the post jam release, you should make a in game tutorial that pauses the game and shows you what to do! It felt like I was missing something when I played the game, like tactically, so a tutorial could help with that! Super impressed with everything you guys managed to do!
