I encountered this lag problem too in lesson 6, but now I understand what's going on thanks to your discussion. Thank you!

I think it would be helpful to have an explanation, about the lag issue, at the beginning of the Lesson 6 PDF and at the top of the coding comments for the scene.

You're welcome!

Another silly question. Can I make and record music within your chiptune music tool? Is the music I create then usable within a GB Studio project?

Open 'Lesson 3 - Implementing and Tracking Options (LBaP).gbsproj' Click on the little purple square over the PRESS START sprite. Look at the right-hand menu to see it displayed as sprite from a sprite sheet. The PRESS START is a sprite from the sprite assets folder. You will have to create a new larger sprite, outside of GB Studio, for PRESS START and then replace it.

Click the top-left-drop-down menu and select Sprites. The sprite is saved as press_start.png

Sorry you're running into issues. There's a Discord group for this project and for GB Studio. You can get helpful answers quickly on GB Studio Discord.

Your course looks amazing! I'm starting it right now and I'm so excited to make some platformer games! I read the course glossary and I'm impressed with all of the topics you cover. I also really appreciate the GB Studio project files,  which are great for hands-on-learners. Thank you!

Your chiptune music tool looks and sounds amazing!

This is probably a stupid question, but can I use your chiptune music tool on 2 IOS devices that have RetroArch installed? I have an IOS phone and tablet with RetroArch on them.

Please finish your game! It's so cute and funny! I love gnomes and farming RPGs. GB Studio has advanced so much since you first made this game. The Discord community is amazing too.

Reddit has the answer! https://www.reddit.com/r/identifythisfont/comments/jtuvxd/this_pixel_font_from_a...

I experienced the same game crashing bug!

I would love to play this game! :) It looks so charming and fun! Are you planning to create it?

GB Studio 4 has a higher sprite and background tile limit now, so that's helpful!

Thank you Timbo for your help! The physics, you created for the little froggy, is really fun! It's amazing that you created the physics without using a plugin!

Your game reminds me of the water ring toss game toys I played with as a kid.  You would press a button to pump some air to move a plastic ring to the right spot. https://www.reddit.com/r/nostalgia/comments/9nz8f6/remember_these_handheld_water...

Hi! Your game is so cute! :) How did you get your little frog to roll on the ground and also jump? Did you use the Platformer Plus Plugin?

I would appreciate that so much! I learn best by studying whole projects because I can understand how everything works together.

So cute! I love the illustrations! :)

Thank you! :)

Were you using the Itch app or did you directly download and install the game?

I found your game on YouTube. Your game looks amazing!

Your game didn't load. There was a blank black screen and a movable mouse cursor. I play games on the Itch app, using Windows 11.

Please let me know when you update your game so I can play it! Thanks!

Your game is really cute, funny, and charming! Good job! :) I love how Detective Paws keeps reassuring poor paranoid Pickles. Their friendship is very heartwarming.

Thank you so much for your detailed reply! I can't believe that was your first attempt at writing a soundtrack! You're super talented! :)

Is Furnace your main tracker to create your music? Is this it? https://github.com/tildearrow/furnace

I'm a music newbie, so I'll need to experiment to discover my own process. I was thinking about using OpenMPT to import midi songs that I'll create with FL Studio Mobile.

Thanks for being a hUGE inspiration! Sorry not sorry for the pun. hahaha...

I can wait! :) I can still learn from the rest of your game project!
Thanks so much for your tutorials. They have helped me to understand the amazing possibilities of GB Studio!

When I walk into Gurb's house, it's completely blank with no furniture or anything else. Gurb is also missing from the screen, but I can still exit the house by pressing the down key.

Any ideas about why this is happening?

I'm working in GB Studio 3.1. I tried to migrate the game to 3.1.

Don’t worry about the late comment! I get distracted and forgetful too. Plus, you’re  busy making games! Thanks for sharing!

Your game has very unique and interesting gameplay. I like how it’s a puzzle platformer! The style is also super cute! ^-^

I’ve been playing Small Town Emo and I really like it! The story is super cute, the characters feel so real and honest, and the dialogue is amazing too!

I really like the pixel font for the dialogue. What’s the name of the pixel font and who created it?

Your game is super cute and fun! I bought the project folder to study it. I love the idea of an RPG platformer game.

I forgot about that Digimon dino!

Very cute! I love the happy little Dino. :)

Your GB Tutorials are amazing! I’ve been learning so much. Thank you!

Gurb and his little mushroom house are so cute. I would love to see more of his adventures. Gnomes are the best! Is the Goblin his sidekick?

Does four operator have a website or are they on social media?

four operator is very talented! Thanks for your answer! Would you recommend OpenMPT to create music for games made with GB Studio?

Your music sounds amazing! I like how it’s energetic, moody, and dark. Perfect for an underground platformer. What music program did you use?

It looks like Repugnant Bounty has 3 frame animation loops. So it’s possible! https://skittlesfiddles.itch.io/repugnant-bounty-demo

Your game is really cute! I love how it’s a point-and-click adventure game. The graphics and colors are great, and it has a charming story too.

I haven’t finished the game yet, but I plan to. Is there a way to save my progress?

This looks amazing! Thank you for sharing it with us. I’m excited to learn how to create a turn-based game!

Your top-down sprites look super cute too! I love the kawaii style.

The hair looks great! :) You’re a pro-pixel hair stylist.

Thanks for explaining that to me! It’s a great idea to create a twist with the Aesop fables. It will be fun to play your game. :)

I really like the look of the bigger sprite. I noticed some game developers use the same sprite perspective for both side-scroller and top-down, but others use a more realistic approach. It’s confusing about what perspective style to use.

Can you animate with more than 3 frames, for character animation states, in GB Studio 3.1? I think it was limited to 2 frames in the earlier version.

Your game mockup looks great! I love the colors and the design. Are you using advanced sprite animation by animating in overlapping parts? How big is your main character sprite?
