Oh my god. This is the best day of my life.

Yeah... We noticed that one a little too late, haha.
It seems that if you click on the text box itself, the text doesn't advance, but clicking anywhere else on the screen works fine. We have already fixed it, but unfortunately we're stuck with this version for the game jam as there is no way of updating it... o(╥﹏╥)o
Game was really fun! The art is very stylish, and I really enjoyed the learning curve. I got really into it once I figured out what I wanted to do with my build (Hanged Man's Eye absolutely hard-carried me).
This should actually be tagged as psychological horror because of how scared that "No Answer" attack from the final boss made me when I was down to single-digit HP LOL. I'll forever be grateful for the stunning mechanic, it really saved my hide!
Overall, GREAT game! I'd like to see how far a defense build can go, so I'll definitely be coming back to this later. HUGE props for making this, and keep up the great work! ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ
I'm always up for more Poke All Toads content!
At first, I expected to beat it once and be on my way, but the leaderboards at the end may or may not have awakened my competitive spirit (I might come back to grind the ranks later LOL). I still haven't unlocked all the faeries, but so far I've grown to love Brave Fairy as if she were my own daughter. She feels amazing to play!
Overall, really fun game! I can't wait to see how that MMO idea shapes up. Keep on poking those toads!
You see, I'm a bit of a goober myself, so it pained me to obliterate those goblins when they were straight-up goobin'!
Now, onto the review:
First of all, I NEED a Divine Host-shaped pillow. They have no business carrying out demonic extermination while being this adorable!
Secondly, I am COMPLETELY ADDICTED to this game. I really hope you guys make more levels in the future. When I saw the "out of budget" text, my heart dropped. I need more of these goobers in my life!
I feel like this game can only be some sort of deep, dark conspiracy by the super-secret Go society to convince people that Go is AWESOME... And, God, if it works.
Even though I utterly SUCK at board games, I absolutely LOVED everything about this. The characters, writing, art, music... and, surprisingly, the Go gameplay??? The VIBES were unparalleled. Never before has being horrible at board games made me fear for my life! Also, the suffocation analogy in the tutorial genuinely made it click for me. I actually went, "Oh, that makes sense!" And me understanding the rules of a board game is a feat to behold!
...I didn't expect to leave a counting game jam wanting to learn Go, yet here we are.
Overall, an impeccable game! HUGE praise to the team! And if you plan to keep on Go-ing, I'd love to see more of this game! Godspeed! (˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
Moonkeys are soooooo cuuuuuuute!!! Actually, this whole game is cute. Great job! The art style is great, and the music is so cozy. I really enjoyed playing it!
That said, it may have just been because I've literally been counting down to zero for days while balancing my own game, but I felt it might have been a teeny tiny bit too easy. I kept thinking it was going to juke me out at some point, but just counting down to zero in my head every time was enough for me to beat the game without losing once. I was actually suffering from anticipation, expecting something like, "Press the button with 5 seconds left!" or something like that LOL.
Nevertheless, I never felt that this detracted from the experience (primarily because, as I said before, the Moonkeys are very cute), and I had a really good time. Godspeed!
If no one's got my back, I know Armor Break does. Every time it showed up, I was like, "YESSSSSSS!"
I don't know if I'm biased saying this since I'm really into turn-based games, but this was SO MUCH FUN! I love the randomized heroes with different classes and abilities, and the portrait art is sooooo cute. Mage is my GOAT, though, as a lightning strike was the very last thing the Count saw before his very... timely... demise.
Seriously, stellar work! I'd definitely play this again to try getting a lower hero count now that I understand how every skill works.
This is only to satisfy my curiosity, but is there a maximum hero count, or could you theoretically stack, like, a bajillion heroes and one-shot the Count with Life Bomb (if you had WAY too much time on your hands LOL)?
All my years of rhythm games have been preparing me for this moment... Now no fiend can stop me and my PERFECTLY TIMED CHARGED ATTACKS!
In all seriousness, this game is a lot of fun! The art is charming, and the final boss had me LOCKED IN. My only major criticism is that, with how strong the healing is, you CAN brute-force your way through the game without caring much about the timing, as long as you click reeeeeeally fast.
I also noticed that afterplaying once, the music doesn't loop, so I'm left alone with my thoughts (and clicking noises). I'm pretty sure that's a bug and not intentional, though. Either way, great work! If you ever expand on this idea, I'd love to check it out.
CHARGED ATTACKS FOR THE WIN!!!
Man, I never imagined I'd enjoy beating up kitchen appliances as much as I did playing this game!
This may be a counting challenge, but luckily, I'm very good at counting. That kettle, though... She's the bane of my existence...
Seriously, though, loved this game - 5/5. Congrats to the team, and keep up the great work! (⌐⎚ᴗ⎚) ✧
