There actually is a way - the game doesn't really tell you, but you can eat meat to save. Thank you for trying out our game, we really appreciate it!

This game is like if Dead Space had a baby with OFF, and I find that to be extremely appealing. I can tell there's a ton of love in this project- charming artwork, great soundtrack, and lots of cool mechanics to boot. Climbing was cool (even if it didn't change much gameplay wise) and I loved all the unique sprites the enemies had. The lines at the end of the third area were super awesome.

I couldn't help but find myself begging and praying for more party members as I kept playing the game. Not necessarily because it was too hard- but more so just to have new characters to experience the world with, and have banter with our protagonist.

The setting is easily this game's strongest aspect. While very transformative from a general 'underground' theme, it's very striking and I enjoyed it greatly.

My only criticisms- combat became a bit simple and repetitive after a while (which is better than it being broken), and I got stuck on the second code as well.

Fantastic work!

I loved this game! Presented beautifully and polished, with simple yet very engaging writing. The arcade-y graphics and character portraits all left plenty to the imagination, and it kept me gripped to the very end.

The gameplay is simple and to the point. While there's little challenge or strategy involved, it does precisely what it needs to for being a game jam game. I was easily funneled to the end and enjoyed every minute of it. It was paced very very well.

I also loved the "HAROOMPH" when your character dives over a ledge. Little details like that add so much...

Amazing job!

Loved this game, very fun and creative. Critically under-rated. Hope more people see it!

Thank you! Am going to rate this soon.

Hey, thanks for your feedback, and for trying our game out! We really appreciate it.

Once the game jam has concluded we'll update the MacOS version to work properly. And, being the primary mapper of this project I'll happily take your feedback into consideration. The town is oddly spaced, and the Inn is a little big- perhaps we could do a little bit more with that space, or otherwise make it faster to travel there and rest up?

And yes, the switch in that area has gotten many people stuck upon playtesting. That puzzle could be more clearly communicated. If you can't beat that enemy- a helpful tip is to use Frieda's flute, and craft items if you can!

By the way- if you downloaded the project on submission, you might have an old version. The latest version will prevent that particular enemy from respawning when you beat him!

Fun little game! You created a lot of feeling with the way you handled text and textboxes. Loved it!

Very great artwork and writing! I loved this!
