Hey, it seems like people have just spammed a bunch of one stars on other entries. My game has 40% 1-2 star rating, the rest are 3 star. Please rectify this somehow, I don’t think the current placements are honest.
I’ve joined many jams in the past and this is a recurring issue. It’s best to use judge voting instead.

thanks.

thanks!

Thanks a lot! Great high score too, super impressive

thanks :)

thanks :)

thanks for playing! that’s awesome to hear, time will tell if I do release it :D

thanks a lot!! This is huge praise, didn’t think it was worthy of it haha. I may add more content post-jam :)

incredible amount of polish, the game was pretty hard to begin with but after a while of getting used to it it’s pretty addictive. And the leaderboard is super impressive too. Great great job, probably my favourite so far!

awesome game, I loved trying out different combos to see how far I could get my dynasty to go. I think shrunken + bomb maxed out combo works best but I didn’t try them all. And top notch sfx btw.

thanks :D I must say, W pfp too…

thanks! I agree, already have a lot of ideas for dice and bosses

thanks a lot! Yeah I’m planning on adding more combos through dice and levels post-jam, hopefully

Breakouter was disqualified so who won now

Great game! Echoeing on what @kreelien said ( since there's not much else to say about what's good, I'll focus on the bad lol) For starters, your game is presented really well, so I didn't expect any major bugs or gameplay issues, but there were a few. For example, the gameplay was really hard as someone who actually does play a lot of these top-down and isometric games, like Tunic. The game would benefit strongly from some sort of visual indication of where you're shooting, and speaking of visual indication- I struggled finding my way through some of the later levels due to very weird visual FX - the screen shake made me feel like I was doing the wrong thing. Coupled with the fact that the later game enemies and turrets shoot way too often and it's pretty hard to shoot them when their shots are honing and yours are, well... I can't even tell where my bullets go! Small change that would've made a huge difference to gameplay. And again, echoeing on the previous comment, I did lose my way quite a lot because a downside of having such a detailed world is the player can get lost in the process without visual cues to keep them going, and more importantly tell them what to do. I was also stuck twice when I realised I had to shoot logs.

Some other bugs: I got stuck on the third wall in the second room of starting the game, probably because I was spamming shoot button? Either way, it happened again later down the line in the centre room (room 6).

All that being said and out of the way, the visual style of your game is superb and it feels very high quality regardless. It also ties in perfectly with Ascendant lore. I just wish more of it was reflected in gameplay :)

thanks for letting me know! last build was corrupted. i just fixed it, try it now!

Cool game. It's really well made, the thread mechanic is awesome and I haven't seen anything like it!  One thing, though, a timer would be great for speedrunning. I have no idea how long it took. Also, the dialogue and art overall are really good.
