Yesssss! I was hoping someone would discover what I called "body popping" during development ahahaha. You're right though for sure, the tentacles needed some more work just to give the player an indication something is going on, sound is a great idea for that. I didn't really consider the colours until I put them in the game and I was like "oh they're kinda hard to see" but I pushed on anyway without fixing it. Thank you so much for the feedback!

Definitely didn't take away from the fun factor. I played it through more than once :D

Ah yeah, played it through to the end just now. Great job with the game and thank you for fixing it so we could see the end!

Thanks for the feedback! It was good fun to start with by making some artwork before diving into code for once

sorry for any fish related scares ;)

Thank you! I never even thought of the jumpscare factor on the eyes. Definitely considering fixing a lot of the hacky code and continuing it as a side project.

Well this was weird and interesting. Great job! I had a good time!

Still! Definitely a consideration for next time. ❤️

Yeah I was a little worried the lighting system in Godot would cause issues on browser. I should probably put a linux releases out for download too. Sorry it was laggy for you, I should've tested it on my old laptop first! Thanks for the feedback!

(and yeah I spent far too long on the water effect 😂 I wanted to push it further and have the surface get disturbed by the player but I didn't have time)

This was a good time up until the white screen appeared. Collision felt a bit wonky in places making it get easy to stuck in walls. From what I played though, cool concept and gameplay. Good job!

Yeah I had the white screen issue happen to me too.

Holy moly that gets chaotic fast! Great job!

This is a good concept but I'm not sure if I'm meant to be able to move, leap and attack all of my ghosts on the same turn so I finished the game in 2 turns, though there wasn't a win condition. Can definitely tell you ran out of time for sure but it looks good and has a lot of potential, if only it were finished 😭

(1 edit)

Haha! Thank you! The music was just grabbed from somewhere at the end. I wanted to make my own sound and music but I had like 7 hours left and I was exhausted, shouldn't have spent 5 hours learning to write shaders on Friday 😂

I left links to all the artists I used sounds from in the description, go give them some love ❤️

Gives Tim Burton vibes to me for some reason. Really enjoyed myself but after playing a song with a friend I er... I thought it wanted a hug. It didn't. Excellent work!

Interesting take on the tetris-like! Very addictive, I liked the added idea of connecting the colours for a bonus. I had issues rotating pieces when they collide with the walls but maybe this was by design, either way it made things more interesting. Great work :D

Ohh this was cool! Beautiful artwork, great concept. The mode switch mechanic is excellent but I did find that I'd keep switching phase straight into skellies and dying ಥ_ಥ. Fantastic work!

Absolutely beautiful visuals, only real criticism is I don't understand how the damage works. In some fights I was rolling a 6 and getting 61 damage, then the next fight a 5 was getting 21 damage. I still beat the phantom pirates though and had a blast!

This is great fun to play, the text logs are a little bit invasive and the sailing phase damage felt a little unclear what was happening but I got through it by just smashing the upgrades. Great work! 😀
