Im not sure if this was a web issue but, first attempt at playing I had an issue where I could not turn the camera. Pressing Q made me think I could only change directions with this button. When I reload I was able to move the camera but it seemed to me, and maybe this is just me, that the only movement control that really works when rollerblading is W and you use the camera for directions? I mean, accurate if true lol

Just wanted to share my experience even if it is just me the player being goofy as opposed to actual issues.

The artist and sound members of the team did a really good job! I love the animations of the cat, the lil flick of its tails with the movement, and the pounce is really fun and really gives that cat-like feel to the gameplay. The music gives a nice fun cat vibe too!

The space jump felt unecessary to me b/c there really is no part of the map that fascilitates a need for it outside of the stacked shelves that you just spam jump up on (and even then, you can still use the pounce on the ladder portion very easily).

A lot of these sections could have been replaced by the waterfall thing, the bubbles or the moveable ladders. Those 3 features I would have loved to see a lot more of in the level designs! I feel like the shelf asset got used a bit too much in places it didnt need to be/substituted for above mentioned set pieces.

I noticed a small issue with jumping in regards to the clutter. As fun as it may be to be a cat and push things around and off shelves, sometimes these objects would catch into the sprite and cancel jumps. Also, during the moving books platform section, the sprite will move against the books and you have to maintain position. This can make landing those narrow jumps really tedious because you can easily be pushed off by the physics of it. In the early section of the room w/ the flying books, as mentioned by others, there is the hole that many get trapped in, but also, there is a small clipping that you have to jump over to get into the hole in the floor part. Also, the mouse runs backwards lol. Small thing there but I noticed it and laughed a bit.

I know you guys had a really rough time of it so just wanted to say I am still proud of the team for their efforts! I would honestly love to see a more refined and completed version of this; levels where you might see projectiles (that are intigrated into the environment and the platforming in some way) from the heros as they are fighting their way to the wizard etc as the cat chases an actual mouse and not the wizard himself (maybe at the end of the game he gets morphed and kitty gets two mice snacks)

This is a cute idea for a puzzle experience. It has an appealing childrens storybook aesthetic for the visuals as well. I think the puzzle could have a lot more expanded onto it, but the concept was a really interesting one and I think it perfectly fits the theme of the jam. Great job to you two ^^

nice vibes and visuals. Enjoyable track and sound effects. A nice simple high schore experience. Good job to the team ^^

I AM IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Jazz music really bops for starters. I also like the art. The controls were fun to slowly learn and I felt the pressure of a worker in a shipping warehouse. I was not expecting the end I got and it was so fun. This was simultaniously a casual and tense well put together experience that I would want this to be a full game with color sort levels and so on until you reach the end twist. I would buy this game. Anyways, great job to the team <3

I couldnt figure out what I was supposed to do but I like the sound effects and the menu music is medival peasant club vibes. I would cringe dance to it.
Originally wasnt going to leave a comment due to my lack of progress but really wanted to commplement the pixel art and tilesets and the sound design and music and so on. Good Job ^^

I like the gritty aesthetic and the beginning sequence. Everyone hates their hustle jobs fr.

I also like that, upon launching, game immedetely goes to a full screen.

Something that was kinda funny, You can pick up people! I first picked up the thug and tried to throw him over a wall (invisible wall above wall sadg) but then after I delievered the ammo to boomguy, I picked him up and carried him to the thug and he started firing at the thug while i was holding him so I had a personal gaurd to protect me. It was funny but the movements were a bit confusing? and when you switch to 3rd person you are just a black box lol.

Anyways, good job to AmberMechanic and Morgan on the aesthetics portion/art which I thought were cool. Aesthetics reminded me a bit of games like How Fish is Made or White Knuckles which have really interesting atmospheres. I also like the 2.5D look.

I thought the little sprites on the menu were really cute with the little floating hands and such. It really reminds me of some old games you might have seen on N64 or something (and also miis from wii)
Gameplay wise, I was instantly reminded of those annoying mobile ads where you play this little mini game that is not actually the game of running to collect resources and deliver it to base. Real game discovered here. But also, very much so like a more stressful and "you are the villager" gameplay of AoE.
Here comes an issue I wanted to comment on, which is that the drop off of resources is not intuitive. I had to restart about 5x now trying to figure out what I was supposed to do and pressing random buttons. After some trial and error, it was discovered that you long press the L mouse button to slowly drop items inside which is a bit meh.
Secondly, when training the military, I feel like the food resource is basically useless. I think it would be better for food to be more involved outside of just making peasants. Otherwise, you the player would just farm food to make more workers and make peasants do the mining and timbering. I feel like the resource distribution could be polished more for balancing so you dont break it in this regard.
Outside of this, as i said, the little mii people are so cute! I think keeping the low poly cute look if you ever expanded on it would be 10/10 vibes imo.

Good job you two ^^
