super fun! I didn't have any trouble getting through the beginning stages, but after 5-10 minutes it seems like it stopped spawning monsters? I'm on browser, seems like it might've stopped when I switched to a new tab and then came back, so maybe that's to be expected. Browser is firefox, seems like it happened around the time I unlocked miners. i'm really enjoying it though!

edit: played again and realized i had just beaten the game lmao. i would love if it was a bit longer! also fwiw the second playthrough i died p fast to the dragon (even tho in the first one i literally didn't notice it cos i think it mostly died of poison ivy before it got to me), so i might agree w the person who said the rng could use a little balance. anyway good luck w the project, i love the vibes

HAD FUN COMMENT! would love to see more. side note as a proud dyke that went to a super homophobic college and has a lot of friends with unusual chosen names, i kinda wish the pov character wasn't quite so obtuse? "why did u marry a woman if ur gay" had me losing it a bit lol. it's super fun that the MC has like a personality tho, instead of just being a vibeless blank slate, so idk, it's definitely up to you. good game either way. just if u give me the opportunity to therapize my queer family, i wince a bit to find that my tools are so clumsy. 

congrats on releasing such a big project! i love a sandbox civ management type game, and the idle/incremental elements are a really fun and natural addition to the genre. i think a lot of us love those genres (i know i check the management tag and the idle tag for new games regularly), so i imagine you might get some strong criticism from people who are comparing it to the game of their dreams. anyway, just wanted to encourage say—there is a lot of good stuff in here! it's a pretty ambitious project and i think most of what you have works well. (fwiw i didn't mind the tutorials lol)

I think my biggest request would be some more balanced recovery mechanics? I keep getting too excited about researching things, accidentally running out of food or fire, and then I pretty quickly have to click the free all pop button and watch my population dwindle until it's small enough to live off the few resources left after the death spiral. sometimes i tried to rebalance my workers for a while before admitting defeat and freeing all, but I haven't been able to manage it successfully. maybe some kind of supply & demand visualization would help players rebalance things more intuitively? it took me a while to even realize that the research is what was sucking up my resources. idk, just brainstorming.

very good very silly time :) makes me want to make silly collages in photoshop. also the pixel art is legitimately awesome, i loved the medusa painting

Really enjoyed it for a while! I'm excited to see it develop—seems like a lot of the complaints in the comment section have already been resolved! personally I'd love some resource management elements, like maybe you have to use resources to complete skill checks, so if you're out of a resource you might have to use a less advantageous skill. could give the player some more impetus for leveling up the boat if that's something you're thinking of adding too. either way, good luck and i'll look forward to updates! 

This is so fun, I've been playing all morning :) I'm not great at it though, I kinda have to talk through the rounds out loud and I keep checking the deck to remember what i might be dealing with.  I might just not be smart enough for the game, but i would love like. quality-of-life type stuff that you can turn on if you want it, especially a way to reference potentially hidden cards without opening and closing the deck, or stuff where you can mark cards up based on your line of thought. Maybe even something that would visualize what would be true if someone is being honest? but that might play too much of the game for you lol, idk. Anyway thanks for sharing such an awesome game!

I'm not getting the blue tint bug on this game, but I've found it frequently before—it's just that firefox lets you select the game for some reason. the blue tint is just the selection highlight. So a lot of mouse-controlled unity games just have this problem in firefox, it's annoying, but not game-breaking. Sometimes I can double-click to get it to go away, but it usually comes back within the next few clicks. Anyway, super fun game though! i love the lil goblin character :)

i also had a hard time understanding how to spend berries to get energy, so for anyone else—if you just try to use energy after your energy is at 0, you will automatically use berries. also this game is awesome, i had a lot of fun w it

i had a rly hard time with getting started too, so in case anyone else needs it—I'm gonna put the help that i needed below the cut lol.









you have to get to the flag/touch the flag without eating it.  if you eat the flag hit r to reset the level and try again. your character will eat p much anything in the game if you move into it's space while facing it.

incredible game! i'm having the same issue with the worm fight crash just fyi! i'm playing in browser, firefox on mac other details consistent with what others have said. it's sending me a huge error code when it crashes, here's that in case it's helpful:

absolutely incredible game! can't wait to see what all you do with it cos i'd play this for hours for sure. fyi i ran into a little bug where npc dialogue seemed like it wasn't scrolling or something? i would only get the first line of what the npc was saying. (im on mac, if that's helpful). i also occasionally got a bug where if i sat still for a minute the truck might just do some flips or clip through the ground etc and um. that definitely seemed wrong but it didn't rly detract from my gameplay lmao. just like 5 seconds of chaos and then it would put me back on the road and i'd move on haha. good luck with this one, i hope it goes far!
