Hi there, I’m very interested in your game. How can we discuss this further?

Certainly! Could you send us a demo version so we can try it out?

Hey there,

I'm Linnie, and Manifestart is the tiny Shanghai-based publisher I've been building. We're new to the space and trying to do things properly — one game at a time, with creators we genuinely believe in.

We focus on games that live at the edge of culture. Too strange, too personal, too real to be mainstream. That's where we live too.

Here's who we've worked with so far: Malleus Cocconum: The Heiress, House of Petals, BLACK BOX: LSS, Best Served Cold, and Last Night Last Call. You can browse the full list at manifestart.cn

Why I'm posting here:

I'm diving into the indie space properly, building our portfolio, and looking to connect with creators who make games we'd actually play ourselves. Because of that, I'm 100% open to revenue-share models, hobby projects, game jams — whatever gets us in the room.

What we bring:

We handle the Chinese/Japan/Korea market side so you can focus on making the game.

  • Localization — but the kind where the tone and atmosphere survive. Store pages, PR, community posts, all adapted for how Chinese players actually read and share.
  • KOL and community outreach — we find the specific corners of the internet where your game's audience hangs out, not just the biggest channels.
  • Social media ops — RedNote, Bilibili, Douyin, Weibo, Steam community, Heybox. Long-term presence, not a launch spike.
  • Crowdfunding on Modian if that's part of your plan. We've run multiple campaigns.

We're best for narrative-driven, character-heavy games — visual novels, adventure games, story-rich indies. If your game is more about atmosphere than features, we're probably a good fit.

That said, if your game doesn't fit that description but you think it's cool, reach out anyway. We care more about whether a game is interesting than whether it checks genre boxes.

Some proof we're not completely clueless:

  • BLΛCK BOX: LSS — 93.54% positive, 183k owners (rev-share)
  • Best Served Cold — 82.95% positive, 22.5k owners (repeat client)
  • Adorable Adventures — 86.51% positive, 489 CCU peak

Several of the developers we've worked with came back for their next game. That's honestly the thing I'm proudest of.

Even if you're just curious about the Chinese market and not sure if it's right for your game yet — happy to chat, no strings attached. Sometimes an outside perspective helps.
