at the moment im holding off on large commercial game dev teams and focusing a little more on indi teams, pitch my service for free to see what needs to change, what works and what was attractive and then move up. i do have experience in coaching software development teams, but not a huge amount, the coaching techniques ill be leaning more towards are on a personal scale, not specifically the industry, but on how that person leads, delegates, teaches and disciplines

Hey everyone, I’m not sure where the best place to share this is, but I’d really appreciate some feedback.
I’ve had this idea in the back of my mind for a while. I have about five years of experience as a coach/trainer, working with industries like telecommunications, mining, and others. I’ve always wanted to break into the game development world, but I haven’t had the time to fully pursue the technical side.
So I started thinking, what if I combine my professional experience with my passion? I’m considering starting a business where I work with development leads, helping them build stronger interpersonal, leadership, and training skills so they can run their teams more effectively.
From what I’ve seen and heard, this is a real challenge in the gaming industry. Highly skilled developers don’t always have the communication or leadership skills needed to manage teams smoothly.
As a starting point, I’m thinking of offering my services for free so I can test the idea, see how teams respond, and figure out how effective it actually is.
I’d love to hear your thoughts. Does this sound valuable or something studios would actually need?
Hi everyone,
I’ve always had a head full of ideas and a real passion for making games. I’m still learning the technical side myself, but I enjoy bringing people together, organizing projects, and helping turn ideas into something real. I’m fully committed to learning and growing alongside the team.
My partner has a Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, and together we’re starting a small indie team with the goal of creating original games and eventually growing it into something bigger.
We’re looking for developers and creatives at any level. You don’t need to be highly experienced what matters most is that you’re motivated, willing to learn, and actually want to be part of a project from start to finish.
I also want to be clear about expectations. I don’t expect full time hours I work full time myself, so I understand how busy life can get. What really matters is communication, reliability, and being upfront about your availability and timelines.
This will be a revenue share project, with the long term goal of turning it into a proper startup. I’m looking for people who are genuinely passionate and want to build something meaningful together not just jump in for a short time and disappear.
If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, feel free to reach out and tell me a bit about yourself.
Hi everyone,
I’m an aspiring game developer with a deep passion for game ideas and storytelling. I’ll be honest up front—I’m more of an “ideas person” right now, but I’m actively working to change that. I want to get hands-on and truly learn game development by building real projects with a small team of passionate people.
I’m not doing this alone—my partner has a degree in game design, and we’re both eager to put that knowledge into action. We’ve got a range of fresh, unique game concepts that we believe have real potential to stand out and shake things up in the indie space.
I understand that ideas alone don’t make a game, and this is not a “you do the work, I take the credit” situation. I will be fully involved throughout the development process—whether that’s learning design tools, managing tasks, contributing writing/worldbuilding, or helping with anything else the team needs. My goal is to grow alongside the project.
What We’re Looking For:
- Programmers (any experience level)
- Artists (pixel, 2D, or 3D welcome)
- Composers/Sound Designers
- Anyone excited to collaborate and learn
Whether you're a beginner like me or more experienced and looking for a creative project to sink your teeth into, we’d love to hear from you.

We're aiming to start small (maybe a game jam-style prototype or a short vertical slice), and build momentum from there. Think creative indie vibes, narrative-driven or gameplay-focused—we’re flexible, and we’ll decide as a group.

Current prototype includes:
-
Physics-based creature controller
-
Persistent learning/memory system
-
Trait-driven multi-stage evolution framework
-
Modular animation setup

Strong GDScript knowledge
-
Experience with AI/state machines
-
Clean, modular design mindset
-
Interest in emergent creature behavior
Bonus: networking experience for future multiplayer features.
Long-Term Vision

Phase 2: Mobile sync
Phase 3: Multiplayer desktop visits
Phase 4: Shared Fenling ecosystem concept "Multiple Game cross progression system"
Steam release is the long-term goal.

I’m an aspiring game developer passionate about storytelling and creating unique gaming experiences. Right now, I’m focused on an exciting, story-driven game concept that follows the journey of a guild master. As they serve their guild members, they uncover secrets about the prior world and learn what the future holds. It’s a narrative-driven adventure where the story unfolds through the guild’s characters and their evolving relationships.
While I’m primarily an “ideas person” right now, I’m working hard to get hands-on experience and build something real with a small team of like-minded, passionate individuals. I’m not going at it alone—my partner holds a degree in game design, and we’re both eager to bring our vision to life, combining our knowledge and creativity.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking to expand our team and bring in talented individuals for the following roles:
- UI/UX Developers – Help design the interface and user experience to make the game flow seamlessly.
- 2D Artists – Bring our world and characters to life with beautiful artwork.
- Writers – Contribute to world-building, lore, and character dialogue to enrich the story.
- World Builders/Lore Creators – Help shape the deep backstory and the rich, immersive world.
- Character Dialogue Designers – Craft the voices and personalities of the guild members and other key characters.
We’re looking for collaborators who are excited to dive into an indie project and are passionate about creating something meaningful together. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced, if you're excited about narrative-driven games, we’d love to hear from you.
Project Scope:
We’re starting small—perhaps with a game jam-style prototype or a short vertical slice—and building momentum from there. Our approach will be flexible and creative, with a focus on strong storytelling and immersive gameplay.
If this project sounds exciting to you, please leave your Discord handle in the comments or message me directly, and I’ll invite you to the server where we’re coordinating everything.
Let’s create something incredible together!
Thank you for your time, – Fen

I believe your service would be HIGHLY valued, having someone to pass ideas around helps with opening more doors then just one at a time, I know some people who specialize in programming, 3D and other development skills lack open minded creative ideas, which is where i feel like i am strong. I would be happy to add you to the team. Now simply looking for some Hard developers to bring our plans and ideas to life.
