Hi everyone! I've just put SPACE JK up on itch.io

for Windows, macOS and Linux. The game is free, and the download here is pay-what-you-want if you'd like to chip in:

SPACE JK is a quiet idle life sim. You look after pixel-art residents known as JK in a small room at the edge of space: decorate the place, set out some food, pat them on the head, and send them off on errands.

Every day, each of them draws you one sticker, and those go into a sticker book that you gradually fill up over months.

The idea started after I saw some kids trading stickers at a doughnut shop. I wanted to make something that felt a little like that: a game you open for five minutes, get one small thing out of, and close again.

A few things that grew out of that idea:

* The room has a mood you choose, and the view outside the window changes to match it.

* Furniture can be repainted part by part, so a room ends up looking like yours rather than like mine.

* If you want some interaction with other players, you can trade stickers, open your gallery to visitors, have JKs raised by other players come and stay, and join a raid when pushy visitors turn up from space. If you don't want any of that, none of it is required.

A couple of practical notes. It needs a constant internet connection and a free account, because your room lives on the server. That's also why the browser version, the Steam version and this download all connect to the same room.

There's also an in-game shop with optional purchases, separate from anything you pay here.

The Windows build isn't code-signed, so SmartScreen will grumble the first time you run it.

If you do try it, what I'd most like to hear is how your first session feels. I decided early on not to explain the setting up front, and at this point I honestly can't tell whether that reads as intriguing or just baffling.

Thanks for reading!
