Hello,

I know this topic has already been posted by others but my situation is a bit more specific.

I have contacted support by email 2 weeks ago to request an exception to the 1000-file limit for HTML5 games on my itch.io account, and haven't yet received an answer. This request is a bit time-sensitive, as we need to test these games soon with people across Europe, and making download files for each game would take way too much time.

I am the coordinator of an Erasmus+ project called EU VideoGames, which aims to create educational video games for young people and youth workers, focusing on civic education and democratic values. The project is funded by the European Union and aims to provide free and easily accessible resources for youth and youth workers.

As part of the project, we have created 10 prototype games, including 5 RPG Maker MV games, each duplicated in 5 languages, resulting in 25 different game folders. We will later involve young people in creating additional games that will also be part of the project outputs.

We need to publish these games as open educational resources through our project's WordPress website and would ideally use itch.io to host the browser-playable versions. However, each RPG Maker MV export contains approximately 100–200 files above the 1000-file limit. These files are necessary for the games to function correctly, so removing or consolidating them could break the games.

Given the number of games and versions, converting or restructuring them to meet the file limit, resorting to download files for each distribution system (Windows, Mac, Linux) or switching to different hosting solutions with more complex conversions would be extremely time-consuming and could introduce technical issues, while being less accessible for some target groups.

Would it be possible to grant an exception to the HTML5 file limit for my account so that all these games and future games can be directly played on browser? Or indicate if there is another solution that would allow us to upload and host the RPG Maker MV exports for users to easily play and access without modifying their files or complicating this process?

Thank you very much for your help and consideration!
