This works really nicely! Thanks for making it, will definitely save it for later.

Amazing! I will check out John Harper's original as well then, and will give you a nod if I ever make something with it!

Everything about this hurts my eyes and I think I love it.

Thank you! I had fun writing this, and I thought letting people pick their research method would help avoid the situation where one person ends up being right all the time. Means you get to choose what bits you care about more or less.

Oh I see! That's such a fun idea, I really love that. Definitely room to expand it post-jam then!

I should ask - would you mind at all if I took inspiration from its core rules (Single Stat, Roll Under/Over, 1-12 for powers, etc) for a future project? I'd love to have a crack and see what I could make with it. With attribution for where I got the idea, of course.

I am obsessed with the design of this game. I'm not familiar with the source material, but the design is genuinely so elegant. It is essentially a one-stat RPG, where the score you set for the character at the start of the game filters down through everything else you do - from your resources (HP/MP) to your combat style and your set of "class" powers.

I feel there is a lot of room to expand on this concept, particularly by giving more power lists, but overall it seems like a really fun little system.

If I had a point of criticism, the Encounters & Enemies section could do with a bit more description to make non-champion encounters feel interesting. That said, for a one-page solo RPG it is a stellar little piece of work. Really enjoyed reading and giving it a play about with.

Thank you!!

Ah, well. You know that it takes place over seven days because you've slept seven times, you see. Well, apart from when you sleep during the day as part of your research task. So eight times. Everyone sleeps eight times. Not necessarily at the same time. So- hm.

Hm.

This is an absolutely gorgeous little pamphlet, will give this a playtest when I can!

Glad to hear it! Hope you have fun :)

Cleanly written, nicely presented and with a huge amount of potential. I can't wait to get to work.
