Hey Auguste,
Huge fan of the DEMO so far! Loved the artstyle the most haha, reminded me of some Zelda fanarts and Dungeon Meshi the manga, if that makes sense?
Black and white contrast really adds to the feeling of the game, I'm not really the-strategy-game guy but your game and artstyle intrigued me so much to play lol
I like the game loop that's here, it's not thrown in front of the player and then dealt with, it doesn't have a steep learning curve, which I adore.
Plus, I really liked the sound effects and how satisfying they sound, when playing a card and dealing a damage, or even getting hit, the SFX work is great here.
Everything blends together very well, battle background to parallax... I guess "Sakura" particles?
I like the composition of the first round's background with the mountain being in the center.
A caveat: When the turn is over and player is defeated, the game over screen really wants a different musical sting to play that would imply the loss, hard to explain but
I think player should feel the "defeat" to return and play again?
Also, I’m currently studying Translation & Localization, and I ended up translating the entire game into Turkish as a personal passion project (completely free of charge). Everything is fully translated, and I’ve verified that it plays smoothly in-game.
I extracted the engine strings using Godot hash builds and temporarily swapped them with an existing language to test it.
I’d love to hand over my work so you can add official Turkish language support to the game!
I can send you my completed CSV worklist and fill out a custom spreadsheet with "English" and "Turkish" columns if you have a specific format you use for localization.
I've already created the CSV on my own, but you can modify it if there are any strings that I've not extracted.
I’m always open to translating future updates or full content for the game as well.
If you decide to implement it, all I ask is to be credited as:
