Hi,

I decided to run new topic which is more intuitive, rather than "cool game" (what's obvious - it's really good game! :))

Here's your latest reply:

Right now the How to Play guide on the dashboard is all there is, but you've prompted me to do something better. Rather than a wiki (which would go out of date the moment I patch anything), I'm building a proper in-game Archive: a reference section that reads straight from the game's own data, so it's always accurate. Races, classes, what each of the 30 attributes actually does, traits, party synergies, dungeon conditions, and so on. There's a decent chance a Bestiary ends up in there too, filling itself in as you meet new monsters.

To make sure I build the useful bits first rather than guessing, could I pick your brain?

1. What were you actually trying to find out when you went looking for a wiki? Even "I was staring at a hero's stats and had no idea what half of them meant" is really useful.

2. Which of these feel murky? (just list the numbers if you want)

  1. The 30 hero attributes, what each one actually does
  2. Traits, and whether they matter mechanically
  3. Party synergies, how you form them
  4. Gambits / combat tactics
  5. Dungeon danger levels and conditions
  6. The league, promotion, relegation, how points work
  7. Recruiting and poaching from rival guilds
  8. Patrons and their mandates
  9. Something else entirely

3. Was there anything you expected the game to explain, and it just... didn't? Those are the ones I most want to hear about.

Whatever you flag I'll look at first and it'll land in the live build rather than sitting on a wiki somewhere. Cheers for the ask here, this is exactly the sort of thing I'd never spot from the inside.

And my feedback :)

1. stress and fatigue - how does it impact a hero and what to do to reduce it? I put one hero on "recover" and avoid using him in the battle but for some reason the levels of stress and fatigue did not reduced. I don't know if I made sth wrong that's why some kind of help will be needed :)

2. heroes statistics - yes, explanation will be needed + relationship to the heroe's class. When I train the hero with "hone" - auto pick is ok (it's good that system supports) but someone may develop some particular skill.

3. development - i'm not feeling that i fully understand it. If hero reach the ceiling, is it the max what he may achieve? Trainig does anything? If all are maxed out, how can I beat stronger enemies or pass deadly delves?

4. potential and ability explanation

5. this one is really for some help file - strategy and gambits. Explanation what each rule does, what's the difference on which rank is particular rule. When you know your heroes and you see how they behave during the fights, it's good to setup proper strategy.

6. "Heroes fire their signature ability automatically" - how it works exactly? which abilities? I noticed some hero had ability ready and the lightbolt flashed till the end of fight and was never used. I don't know why? what's hapenning?

7. During fight simulation, I'm missing a "flee" option. I noticed that when your best heroes are not available for fight and you have to use the reserves, the scry shows grave peril and that's the fight you cannot skip (continue button doesn't work), the only thing you can watch is how your team is ripped apart...

That's all for now :)

That's my feedback, If sth is purely coded in mechanic and it's how the game works, just write a brief explanation - what was the intention to work like that.

Or if it's Tzentch will then ok :D (not sure what's the equivalent in D&D :D)

And one remark - you are a great developer. Gathering feedback and improving your work. Outstanding! :)

Hi, question: is there any help or wiki page? :)

Bretticus82, thank you! I have a .json copy on other pc but I was missing the option to load it.

(1 edit)

Hey, I'm running the game on different pc and I wanted to continue the game with my guild. When I run the game it asks me to create new guild or take up another guild story... What to do to continue my story? :)
