Project Name: To be decided

Roles Required:

  • 3D Artist (Environment / Characters / Creatures – stylized low-poly preferred)

  • Sound Designer / Audio Artist

My Role: Programmer, Game Designer, Writer

My Previous Projects: N/A (first serious indie project, but I have game dev experience and a solid tech foundation)

Team Size: 2 (myself + composer onboard)

Project Length: Mid-to-long term (goal: vertical slice/demo in 4–5 months)

Compensation: Revshare (fair distribution based on actual contributions)

Responsibilities:

For Artists:

  • Create low-poly stylized 3D models for characters, monsters, and environments

  • Design modular assets for eerie, decaying coastal towns and ancient shrines

  • Collaborate closely on the visual identity of a world inspired by Lovecraft, Bloodborne, and Pathologic

  • (Optional) Work on VFX or animations if skilled in those areas

For Sound Designers:

  • Develop atmospheric soundscapes: underwater groans, celestial echoes, occult murmurs

  • Design SFX for combat, environments, shrines, UI interactions

  • Optionally assist in integration (Unity/FMOD/Wwise)

  • Work closely with our composer to build a unified audio mood

Project Description:

To be decided is a dark fantasy soulslike action RPG inspired by Lovecraftian horror and cosmic dread, with a unique progression system built on “Harmonization” with otherworldly forces.

Key features:

  • Dedicated Shrines: Players consecrate locations to different Echoes (Abyssal, Stellar, Madness), gaining powers and mutations tied to these forces.

  • Mutation System: Exposure to cosmic energies alters the player’s form and abilities through distinct stages.

  • Living Weapons: Sentient weapons grow and mutate with the player, based on their sanity and actions.

  • Cult Factions: Competing occult cults influence the world and its endings based on player choices.

Visual style goal: low-poly, atmospheric, leaning into stylization over realism

What I’m Looking For

Passionate collaborators who enjoy immersive, dark, and experimental worlds. You don’t need a giant portfolio — commitment, creativity, and communication are more important. If you're into FromSoftware, Lovecraft, or surreal indie games like Darkwood, Fear & Hunger you’ll feel at home.
