Had a real blast with this! Simple mechanic but executed really well! Loved the aesthetic and the dialogue, nothing better than just loading up 100 bullets and just going all out!

Means a lot that you liked the sound design! Quite proud of it for how quick i had to set it all up, since it was apart of the final push before the submissions closed haha. Yeah the controls take a bit getting used to, and can be a struggle for some. I still had moments myself where i'd hit a wall etc and i've had a week of practice haha. Glad to hear though you enjoyed it overall!
Hands down the greatest compliment a rage game can get xD Really glad to hear you loved it! Yeah the flying mechanics went through many changes, so its honestly amazing to hear this. Especially since I'm the one who did the physics of the flying machine. So this review has made my day!
Yeah it was something we trial and errored with a lot the level design and how to guide the player but also not make it too linear (excluding certain areas) but also had to be aware of the time we had. Would love to somehow see how good you are at the flying though!
Thanks for those kind words though did give me a laugh reading the start haha
Challenging little game, took me a bit to notice though that i could dash to the side after that it wasn't that hard. Only figured it out cause i got to the part where they were just walls of tornadoes with no way of dodging them by just moving side to side and took a guess they might be a dash. Loved the intro art and how you went about visually explaining what to do at the start, though just seen the comment saying where you know you should of added the dash into the tutorial part.
Overall had a blast! Did have parts of the map though where they were invisible walls or possibly just the collision not being right for an object. One example being the blue like bridge thing where i died once cause i assumed i could go under since I saw enemies spawning under to then be blocked off and instantly surrounded. Aside from that possibly increase the player movement by just a tad more. But i did enjoy the wheel spin element, loved the visuals for it too. The music really added to it as well! Fun Game!
Had a blast! Took me a little bit though to figure out i actually had to hit the big meteors and not just be near them. Aside from that it was a fun premise that was elevated by the music which was quite enjoyable especially when it changer per ring which was really nice. Didn't suffer myself but i do see how people with motion sickness etc may struggle with this game since it can get quite visually noisy etc. Overall though its a fun game, best I got was 21 cycles.
Quite a fun game ngl! Gave me the same feeling a bit that 'totally accurate battle simulator' used to give me when one of the attackers pulls out some crazy combo haha. Did have a bug though where i eventually betted on the correct fighter but still lost the money. I'm glad though you give the player a fresh loan when bankrupt so i don't have to just restart the game. Simple QOL thing but makes a difference. Overall though I had fun and was not expecting how powerful the bouncy ball could be haha.
Feel free to check out our game 'The Ascent Of Leonardo Da Criceto'! It's a fodian rage game where you have to fly your latest invention 'The Flying Machine' and prove to the other hamsters your invention is not to be mocked by getting to the top. Varies person to person but the flying can take a bit getting used to so I'm intrigued to see how you will be able to handle it! https://itch.io/jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4692617
Entered a flow state and then a hand showed up and ended my 18621 score haha. Anyhow onto the gameplay, i had fun and loved the visuals. Really liked the background stuff was quite pleasant and of course can't forget about the Sushi doing some very serious flips. I will say though the initial speed is actually the harder part, since the speed increase actually meant i could cover more distance with my jumps. Also aside from the hand appearing ending me, it seems like the spawning of the obstacles is very uniform meaning you can just get into a rhythm even with the speed changes happening you could quickly adjust. So possibly some variation in their spacing would making the player focus more. Overall though had a fun little time!
it does take some practice to control it more but judging of most comments we should of done more balancing. I do promise though that it is flyable haha but obviously I've had practice with it all week during development. But yeah if you're falling and spinning by design it is meant to be hard to control though if they is enough space they is times where you can catch yourself mid-air. They is ways to get it to not be tilted anymore when going up but you have to be delegate with it but more often than not you will be moving left and right when trying to go up straight. Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah it really does take some practice, obviously been the programmer who developed the flying i'm quite accustom to it so can somewhat fly quite well. But judging off most comments the flying could of possibly done with some more tuning to make it easier for newcomers haha. Just a struggle trying to find the balance of making it fit the fodian rage game genre but also be welcoming to newcomers and shrinking the gap of getting used to it. Im glad you like the concept and aesthetics though!
Glad to hear you liked it! Yeah our 2D artist did really well with the intro art! In regards of the landing mechanic it was nothing we really considered since you can control your decent by tapping with some spacing but i understand that can take some practice whilst also adding to the fodian rage game genre. So for now i'll just the excuse it hadn't been invented yet xD
Glad to hear you loved the intro! Yeah the flying takes time getting used to but probably could of done with more tuning to hopefully make it easier for people. My biggest tip though is to be gentle with it just to get a feel for it but obviously further tuning on our part to balance it out was needed for newcomers whilst also keeping the responsiveness of being able to counter the turning. I can promise its flyable but we obviously had the entirety of development to get used to flying it xD
The intro you can thank our designer @Flora and 2D artist @Sirius!
Yeah the flying we balanced the best we can whilst also trying too keep like you said the sense of reward once you get used to it. Plus it being the genre of a fodian rage game we also didn't want to make it too easy as well. Was definitely an interesting one to balance during the development with testers. But something for us to consider for the future is balancing it a bit more possibly. May i ask what parts of the flying you struggled most with?
Checkpoints were something we considered early on but didnt really fit the genre we were going for, but instead we kinda designed checkpoints via the level design that once you got past a certain section to a new area like the minecart area you'd be "safe" there. If we had the time though possibly could of looked into having an 'Easy' mode with some form of checkpoint system.
Yeah the flying can take a bit getting used to but once you do its quite rewarding. Though probably some parts we could of tweaked a bit more but didn't want to make it to easy. Im glad though you enjoyed it overall!
Fun little game, i like the idea of the boomerang variants. Some stars were a bit awkward, unless i was using the wrong boomerang at the time. Though the first one, the fork lightning one was handy at times though felt like it didn't always work as i expected but that could just be me misunderstanding it.
First off the intro was too serious (aka it was beautiful), the gameplay was simple but in a good way since the puzzles at times got you thinking a bit even if i tried to cheese it sometimes with my very serious parkour skills. Love the fact it has multiple endings, naturally the first one i got was for being too serious.
Overall i had a good time, visuals weren't as noisy as i was expecting them to be which is good. Funny intro and endings, very not serious serious game!
Overall its a fun game and the visual style and audio all fit well together! Loved the voice over which also fits the game. The tornadoes can be quite aggressive at times in regards of how far they throw the truck, sometimes making it hard to regain control or get away from others before being hit again. I also feel like the game should pause when in the shop just as a little QOL change. They is also no way of telling visually which tornado is yours, so feel like they should be some visual difference.
Had a blast once i got used to the turning controls, the music and audio made the games serious level very high and just overall was fun to listen to the music whilst smashing up the office (loved the destruction)! Art style is nothing too crazy but honestly that works for this game in a good way. So good choice on keeping it simple. Main menu was nice too!
They were times though where I'd often get stuck due to some of the debri, obviously its just a cost of physics etc but if they was a way where certain debri would lose its collision might give the player some more freedom of movement and limit the chances of getting stuck.
Overall its a fun game, the music and effects for when you start smashing stuff up was really fun too!
The gameplay itself is nothing too crazy, but the art style and audio really give it a nice feeling. Also loved the intro cutscene! Naturally it being the type of game it is, its very rng so many times you will have to restart early one cause you run out of buttons which is no biggy but would be nice if they was someone who could give you a singular pity button if you run out so it saves you having to restart. Also was never able to find the kids lollipop, unless i was just missing something.
As mentioned by someone else usually after the first time using the slot machine the handle keeps having its visibility popping on and off. Interaction still works so its purely a visual bug so nothing major.
