i didn't have the issue that others did when it came to controlling, but i understand that not all keyboard have numpad. I will say though that, if you go back and work with this more, to add some sort of boundary to the play space so the little guys can't walk out of bounds indefinetly

absolutely loved this game, and if you wanted to expand it more with more options across the board I would absolutely be down for that. It was a fun twist to go with a bit more of a historical element. And something about combining that theme with the art style you did is just really memoriable for me. Great job
I liked the take, and I'm not sure if it was your intention or not but it felt suspense with the lighting and the background music you included. I will say that the shadows being so start (both the player and other scene objects) made it pretty difficult to see into certain areas. I also faced issues with the mouse cursor escaping the window and not accurately synching with player movement, so I couldn't turn entirely proper. I did, however, enjoy the little guy sfx, both the ones the make before you splat (makes them easier to find) and also after.
