Hello everyone!

We’re looking to expand the team with: • Programmer (Unity) • UI Designer • 3D Animator (rigging is a plus) • VFX Artist (Unity) • SFX Artist

Project: Hypocrisy — an action RPG with roguelite elements, focused on story and psychological depth, set in a sci-fi + fantasy universe.

Closest reference: Hades.

We already have a concept, GDD, and documented mechanics ready for implementation and validation 😁. The project team currently includes an art lead generalist, game designer, narrative designer, QA, composer, and sound designer.

Most of the team works part-time after their main jobs, for a project share instead of a salary. Shares are earned as an alternative to pay and are fully documented for payouts after release.

Timeline: • Targeting a demo / Early Access by the end of March 2026 • +6 months of EA with ~30% content and ~60% mechanics • +12 months to full release after that

We’re also looking for investments and grants, with the goal of paying full salaries and moving to full-time work. This is more likely after the demo.

Hi! I’m looking for a team to develop Hypocrisy:

A sci-fantasy action roguelike, focused on psychological depth and character relations.

Its USPs:

  1. Narrative-Driven Roguelite with Character Relationships & Side Quests
  2. Deep Psychological Journey with Mature Characters in a Roguelite
  3. Sci-Fi/Fantasy Universe with Depth and Contrast
  4. Subtle Philosophical & Spiritual topics in a Roguelite

In a world ruled by a despotic regime, you are its next victim.

Having lost you family, your life, and your dreams, you hunt the tyrant who took it all from you.

Consumed by vengeance, you claim to fight for justice and save the world.

You try to deny the monster within, but each step drags you deeper into the darkness.

Will you shatter the mask of a hero, or lie to yourself to be the one the world needs?

Our TA is:

Players aged 16–35 who want a roguelike with the emotional depth of an RPG and a universe that blends sci-fi and fantasy in bold, unexpected ways.

I am primarily looking for

Highly-responsible and motivated partners, who will share the journey of creating this game. And, ideally, the journey beyond.

I’m also very much open to work with less experienced/entry-level people - we can grow together! The best thing you can bring is your passion and desire to grow while creating something beautiful. ♥️

    • Ideally, the generalist to oversee the whole art direction
    • Concept artists to develop the overall style
    • 2D character artists
    • 3D props./hard surface artists, character, environment artists
    • 3D animators
    • VFX
  • Unreal Engine 5 developers
  • Game UI/UX Designers
  • SFX
  • Marketing, Promotion, PR - build community around the game, handle promotion, create presentable presentations for partners.
  • QA
  • HR Manager - handle recruitment and team management.
  • Business experts - experienced with publishers, investors/funding campaigns

    • Basic level progression
    • Basic dialogues, state

Our current stage is creating initial prototype (months 1-3) - then pitching it for further funding. Vertical slice in months (4-6). Progress to EA (months 7-12). Release (months 13-24).
