From the opening line to the last paragraph, I was captivated!

I really enjoyed the descriptions of the setting! There are really amazing lines that really draw you in! Very spooky and atmospheric!

This is a chilling read with a phenomenal twist I didn't see coming! The ending, in particular, was so unsettling and brilliant! This is definitely one that will stick with me!

Cannot recommend this enough and have been gushing about it to all my friends who would listen!

Sweet, beautiful, brilliant, and poetic!

This is a very sweet, very beautiful short story that made me smile! It is a quick read and the 2nd-person POV was done with absolute brilliance and poetry!

I can't wait to read more by Rebecca Crunden!

A great witchy tale!

I've read a couple of Rebecca Crunden's short stories and they're always a delight! I love a great witchy tale, as well! This one reminds me of all the best of Supernatural, Charmed, or Buffy vibes!

In 25 pages, Demelza and Ulianna completely capture the hearts of readers, from their banter to their sweeter moments.

I really enjoyed the world building, as well!

One thing I love about Rebecca Crunden's short stories is her ability to make something short still feel full and satisfying!

The ballet aspect caught my attention immediately and I was also drawn in by the lgbtq+ representation, as well as a number of tropes, including grumpy x grumpier and found family!

Very easy to get into the book and love the characters! They are all so real! I enjoyed the entire group and loved the friendships! Liora is awesome! Amita and Chuck are so sweet! Everyone needs a J.J. in their life!

The rival to lovers is really well done!!! I loved Liora and Penelope's dynamic, especially when they finally got together!

I also really appreciated the way the story tackles topics such as pursuing your dream, how it's never too late to do so, the challenges when it comes to a disparity of money in pursuing dreams and even in the health care field, as well as single parenthood, body image, and eating disorders.

This was an amazing novel! I highly recommend!

A spooky short story collection with Twilight Zone vibes!

Foreboding, unsettling, and spooky!

Great sense of setting!

Classic endings very reminiscent of the satisfaction of the Twilight Zone and the way the threat potentially lives on after the story is over.

This book is a highlight of my reading year!

As always, as I've come to expect from a Tower of Memories book, the characters, the world, the magic, the shenanigans, the themes (identity, belonging, intergenerational trauma, etc), the mystery are absolutely brilliant!!!

Serafina and her adventures remain a delight to read! Alyssa Louttit keeps you on the edge of your seat. Every moment evokes something, be it fun or emotion. The characters feel real and, not only does Alyssa Louttit put you right there with them building unique snowmen and enjoying special cupcakes or going for a hike, but makes you love every minute of it. While making you desperate for more!

I loved seeing and being able to appreciate how far Serafina's come since the start of the series. I loved getting more of a glimpse into the human side of things, how attached she's grown to the magical side, and these two worlds starting to collide!

I felt like we got more about Jarec, too (how apt he's on that gorgeous front cover), and the insight into not just the entire Hearth family, but his character was eye opening and phenomenal! Alyssa Louttit really has an impeccable ability to make you care for these characters!

Victor wins father of the year! Lucinda is a delight, as always! And they are the ultimate ship, hands down!!!

There's the quiet moments which I adored, but then there's also the growing danger and the edge of your seat excitement and ongoing mysteries!!!

And the twists!!! As more becomes revealed around the ultimate mysteries set up in the very first book, more awaits solving!

I cannot begin to express how much I'm looking forward to book 5!

Truth is, no review would do this book justice! There's just so much packed into this incredible book and I barely even scratched the surface! Do yourself a favor and start reading this book!!!

Who needs sleep when you can have more fun and chaos of Dragon Tower? More answers and discoveries lead to more questions! I have more predictions and theories surrounding the ongoing mysteries!

Readers learn more about Serafina's family history, the curse, and her own past! There's new insight into all the characters when their families visit the school! I really enjoyed learning more about Lucinda, seeing a new side to her and understanding her better!

Alyssa Louttit writes amazing family dynamics and it's great to see healthy and positive relationships! The friendship between characters is always a joy in this series! The LGBTQ+, especially ace, and autism representation is really nice to see! Serafina's antics and banter are the best! And the mystery, the magic, and the world of Towers of Nine magic school is rich, captivating, and really draws you in!

This is such an addicting series and I'm dying for the next book!!!

Another chaotically fun read that's impossible to put down

The plot and mystery thickens! As more of the over arching story is revealed, including the magical side of Serafina's family, more questions emerge! Alyssa Louttit keeps you engaged in a gripping mystery, fascinating world building, and addictingly fun characters as they go about their time getting better acquainted with their new dorm, their school, and each other.

Some of my own personal theories were confirmed. I have new theories, as well! Then, there were the twists I didn't see coming at all! And I'm really excited to dive into more about Serafina and her time at magic school! I'm especially looking forward to parent's weekend in book 3!

As always, I enjoy the friendships, the family, the representation, and Serafina's snark! Another chaotically fun read that's impossible to put down! Be prepared, though, because you'll want to start the next book immediately!

A Chaotically Fun and Delightfully Magical Read

Loved that Serafina is into science and the ace representation, as well as other LGBTQ+ representation, is really cool to see. It was also cool to see menstruation in the book. All of which just was, everyday. I enjoyed Serafina's relationship with her parents and her friends. There were a lot of popular YA tropes that Alyssa Louttit turns on it's head, as well as conversations that we should have and see more often.

It's an engaging read that really pulls you in with an interesting setting, fun magic, and a really unlucky and, at times, hilarious protagonist. Serafina is blunt, sarcastic, and an utter delight to read!

There was a focus on the mystery of Serafina's magic (great twists, by the way), the mystery of Dragon Tower and the trouble she finds in the magic school.

Towers of Nine is a great alternative to Harry Potter with addicting and intriguing world building to create a fandom around. Speaking of, I have theories and I'm excited to see the rest of the story unfold and find out what trouble Serafina and the rest of her Dragon Tower mates get into for the rest of the series!
