A Chaotically Fun and Delightfully Magical Read

Loved that Serafina is into science and the ace representation, as well as other LGBTQ+ representation, is really cool to see. It was also cool to see menstruation in the book. All of which just was, everyday. I enjoyed Serafina's relationship with her parents and her friends. There were a lot of popular YA tropes that Alyssa Louttit turns on it's head, as well as conversations that we should have and see more often.

It's an engaging read that really pulls you in with an interesting setting, fun magic, and a really unlucky and, at times, hilarious protagonist. Serafina is blunt, sarcastic, and an utter delight to read!

There was a focus on the mystery of Serafina's magic (great twists, by the way), the mystery of Dragon Tower and the trouble she finds in the magic school.

Towers of Nine is a great alternative to Harry Potter with addicting and intriguing world building to create a fandom around. Speaking of, I have theories and I'm excited to see the rest of the story unfold and find out what trouble Serafina and the rest of her Dragon Tower mates get into for the rest of the series!
