Being able to upgrade existing buildings/drones would be number 1 on my list, with clicking efficiency upgrades as number 2.
Otherwise, pie in the sky/scope creep idea, have a secondary game screen that's a planet map. Instead of building an HQ to end the level, you are building a launch pad to get to the next planet. With each planet completed continuing to contribute resources for unlocking new passive upgrades.

Volumes 2 & 3 had just what I was looking for! I used plenty of bottle, bottlecap, bowl, and ice noises in our idle game Desktop Tavern!
These tracks are awesome! I included Sidewalk and Moments in our idle game Desktop Tavern.
Fantastic pack! I used the flat theme for our desktop idle game.

My project has been going well, but an end date to work towards is always helpful! I'm happy with the core systems and the work already in place. My goal is to buckle down and add more upgrades, enemies, and bosses before calling it good enough for a 1.0 Steam release.
Project Name: Ironclad Angels
Genre: Top-down roguelike shooter with vehicle customization
Description: A distant colony has sent a distress signal, and the fleet you and your tank crew are currently serving with was the first to respond. Customize your weaponry, chassis, and choice of copilots before being sent dirtside to deal with the alien threats. Collect XP by defeating enemies and destroying buildings to unlock vehicle upgrades. Complete missions to earn research points and use them to unlock new customization options for future missions.
Started: June 2024
Due Date: End of the jam. As long as I have spent less than 2 years before getting it up on Steam I'm happy!
