I somehow ended up with no quenches left in the final round, and couldn't progress as I had nothing to use :( But I liked it!

This is amazing! Made it to the final boss, but I literally couldn't figure out how to beat the long banana parrying phase of the big guy. Some of the circles were pink and I didn't have to parry them, but I could never figure out how to deal damage.
Beyond that, this game is awesome. There was something very satisfying about seeing the parried projectiles always home to the target that made me want to keep playing, and I felt a genuine rush on beating the first guy and the archer.
It's a hard game, but I don't think it's too hard. Any easier and it would be less satisfying - it took me about 20 minutes to get to the final boss and I think that's okay. Importantly, every death felt like my own fault for dodging wrong or getting too greedy - not a single death felt like it was just unlucky.
Excellent game, this is genuinely awesome :) If I figured out how to beat the final boss I would definitely come back again to do it.
Yeah, my sheep always disappears when I open the dream level and doesn't come back afterwards :(
I'm glad everything else is working though - it's not a huge issue because so long as I beat the dream level immediately I can then reset and play the normal level from the start. I beat the first 4 levels like this, but then looked ahead to some of the later ones and they seemed impossible. Maybe I'm missing some mechanics that I should be able to access from the dream world, due to this bug?
The art is cute, and the general idea of the game makes sense. But the only way I can beat a level is to close my eyes and beat a slightly simpler level, at which point the X on the bed is removed. Then when I beat the dream level, my real sheep is deleted and I have to restart the level, but the bed is now open to sleep in as the X is still removed? Maybe I'm just missing something. Still, the aesthetics are lovely.
If this game is meant to be harder, then... wish us all luck. I've got a blue, green and red juice in increasingly nested crafters sitting inside my time machine, but I cannot figure out how it's ever possible to have enough time to mix another red in there.
edit: never mind I'm literally a genius I figured it out right after I wrote this. Very cool game and satisfying to beat.
Yay, thank you! I'd actually tried a lot of codes like that, but I think the extra complication of American / European date formats meant I'd missed that exact one. Still, now that I can play the game it's really fun!
Very short, obviously, but lots of potential. It reminds me of Strange Horticulture, if you know it.
Very cool game! Took some time to get to grips with whether I was describing the characters already present, or describing how those who would turn up should sit. Still, maybe that's my issue as once I got past the first level (which took the longest...) I completed the first 5 and they were very fun! Well executed and clever
The snap and compass respectively, while being very powerful, feel slightly as though they break the spirit of the game. I spent a long time looking for the first 10 words to find, and unlocked the snap ability. From there I could spam click through words until I got the compass, and then it's just a game of clicking each letter through and seeing which one makes it go higher, and repeat. Still, I enjoyed it and the design is very neat :)
Thanks for playing! I think it is fairly challenging, and 1-3 in particular (the 6th level) is harder than a lot of those around it. I was considering maybe adding a colour chart for those who don't intuitively get the mixing so much.
And good spot with that bug, fixed now! Along with updated music that's a little less aggressive...
Hopefully not spoiling this for anyone, but I believe the curly braces make the encrypted letters inside into a ||homophone|| ..?
A very fun (even if relatively simple find-and-replace) puzzle, cool and unique for this jam too :) I especially enjoyed the meta-style puzzles at the start and end of the doc with the algebra type stuff.
