A full-length, classically-styled role-playing game inspired by modern mobile and MMO gaming, Dawnshadow follows "Sai" Wulfgar, an orc struggling to be free from imprisonment by the god of darkness and destruction. The game merges retro graphics and sound with original writing and modern takes on combat and character customization.
Dawnshadow will feel immediately familiar to anybody who grew up playing the classic RPGs of the 1980's. However, its streamlined approach to the genre makes it comfortable even to modern players. Interwoven systems for equipment creation, ally selection, and character development let players define their own way of facing Dawnshadow's challenges. An automatic journal tracks what those challenges are. Fights happen in a semi-automated combat system that players will recognize from modern MMOs or mobile games. Each encounter, hostile or friendly, moves Sai ever closer to the dream of freedom.
