However, this is the incorrect file. My apologies, I should've clarified when I mentioned it in my initial reply.

Saves will look like "5-2-LT1.save"

The first number of a save indicates their page number in game and the second number, the save slot itself. So 5-2-LT1.save would be the 5th page, and save slot #2.

This is a known bug that has since been fixed for a later version of the game.

Can you upload your save for me, please? You can use any file sharing site of your choosing, just make sure the link isn't private. I'll get back to you once I have a fix ready.

If you need info on your save location:

PC

Where your game folder is located, you'll have a "game" folder where the .exe is. Inside the "game" folder you'll have "saves".

Example: C:\AHouseInTheRift-GameVersionHere\game\saves

Android

You can find your Android saves in "ahitr_storage".

Example: Internal Storage/documents/ahitr_storage.

I'd recommend redownloading the .rpa from our Patreon, as the servers here on Itch can be a little be wonky.

Also, make sure to allow the launcher all permissions. If nothing happens, closing and reopening the launcher can help, and in some cases, deleting and redownloading the launcher can help.

Correct. Itch versions are a tad bit slower to be released. Patreon is the main place we release and everywhere else tends to trickle in terms of time.

Give that a try (saves should sync over automatically). You could also try the compressed version of the game, which lowers the image/quality a bit, but lowers the download size too.

If you're on PC, I'd recommend making sure drivers are up to date. (Check for any pending GPU driver updates).

While in-game you could try pressing Shift + G to bring up the debug menu. You could try changing the renderer here, saving and restarting the game. Disabling the gamepad option can help in certain situations.

I'd also have a look at the 32-bit .exe if these aren't helping as it can also help in certain situations.

If you're playing on Android, unfortunately performance can vary device to device.

You can download, extract and run the latest update. Saves carry over automatically.

Our Patreon downloads offer a patch system. Where you can update from X version to Y. (Usually 400mb-ish). It will tell you which version of the game you can update from and to. You can only patch the highres game with the highres patch, and compressed game with the compressed patch.
