However, you may have to reload or retry a few times for it to work.

Second visit if not successful on the first - 50%

Third visit should be - 100%

In its current iteration, AHITR will not be released on steam. There's a few factors involved (certain assets for example) that wouldn't allow a release on steam.

V0.8.08 is currently in Early Access over on Patreon, so the game fairly far along. I'd say there's around 30+ hours of content right now.

Itch have changed how paid adult content works here, so we no longer offer that option unfortunately (we would like to bring it back if Itch reverts changes).

A House in the Rift is free, and all future versions too. It just takes a little bit of time for those free versions to be released.

Yeah! Your saves should be fine. Just delete the old .rpa and place the new .rpa, that's it!

There's 2 locations for saves/progress on PC for AHITR.

Where your game folder is located, you'll have a "game" folder where the .exe is. Inside the "game" folder you'll have "saves".

Example: C:\AHouseInTheRift-GameVersionHere\game\saves

There's a backup folder in your "appdata" folder that your saves get synced to. You can find it in the example below:

C:\Users\Name\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\AHouseintheRift

Alternatively you can hit Win + R and type "appdata" from there open "Roaming", then "Renpy" and then "AHouseintheRift"

Make sure to delete both of these locations (including any "sync" folder or "persistent" file).

Deleting these will completely delete all your saved data. (I'd make a backup of your saves just in case).

On Android your saves will be in "ahitr_storage" and the "sync" folder.

No update yet. Its unfortunately a tricky situation to navigate and mostly out of our hands due to the current structure of Itch ToS (in regards to paid adult games).

Saves carry over automatically! You can download the new version on either Itch or Patreon, load the game up and resume where you left off!

If you'd like, you can make a manual back up by grabbing them in AHITR > Game > Saves.

You can use the default windows unzip feature to extract the game (or any unzipping program). But all you need to do is unzip and play!

If you have any anti-virus software, I'd recommend having a look to see if its blocking the game (as sometimes the download can be flagged as a false threat, causing the game to either be deleted or missing files).

When updating on Android, all you have to do is place the new .rpa and delete the old .rpa, you don't have to redownload the launcher at all (which is what may have caused the loss of saves).
