Vibes/themes are excellent. I can already tell there are lots of smol stuff you guys already know so I'll just more obvious stuff.
IMO onboarding experience wasn't smooth and I actually left feeling a little.. confused? I think the only clear thing for me was that the servern nodes should be bought to avoid going over 100% server capacity, but the rest wasn't super clear. Data centers, engineer hiring, hotfixes... why should I care wasn't clear. Too many stats at first too: hype, bugs... felt a little overwhelming? I couldn't make clear sense of what is what
Also, tbh I don't think fail state is required given it's an incremental game, not a tycoon. I think it's tricky trying to be both.
Good catch on the sound! Adding to our list of bugs.
I'm still pending approval on the steam page - this game was initially a prototype to check if there's interest. It seems there is :)
Would love your thoughts on the future builds if you signed up to the mailing list! (link is here, btw ~> https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1z2z4FJqWP0v1eXEX8BF0pQU55o3l8n-FMUryGboYd7E/edi...)
We're cooking a new prototype that will allow that! The form to get into the short list of testers is here ~> https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1z2z4FJqWP0v1eXEX8BF0pQU55o3l8n-FMUryGboYd7E/edi...
Oh, for sure! Progression is hyper-accelerated in the prototype. It's gonna be way more balanced in the full version!
We're also planning multiple maps, each with a gimmick. The second one most likely will be a desert, where there will be 'ore slimes' that also drop specific ores to upgrade your equipment with the Blacksmith.
Can't wait to have the 'Tried to hurt the capybara..." achievement
Hey folks :)
I just launched the prototype of a potential game, Slay the Slime. It's an incremental game with a twist of power fantasy, I think? You slay slimes, make things explode, unlock busted skills on a skill tree and just have some fun.
It's about 20min long. I'm wondering what you guys think!
Appreciate all the feedback <3

I really, REALLY love the concept of the game. I do think, however, that it should be faster-paced. The whole verdict cutscene thing might look cool, but it gets boring fast and should be used only to some specific cases ("boss" cases, maybe?), and with more sound effects (maybe voice acting).
In my head, something more like "papers please", where you go from one case to the other (maybe even with a big stamp "GUILTY" or "NOT GUILTY"), would feel better.
