Lots of fun, love the jiggles!

Thanks for putting it back up! I really liked my first playthrough, and freaking out about the attention is totally understandable. I'm excited to see what's coming next in RogueWeight!

So much fun! I'm impressed by how much you've stuffed in here! ^u^

I'll see what I can do! Who knows how it will grow? :)

Thank you!

I'm delighted to hear that more's on the way! I feel ya on the popular demand/mood being determinants for what to work on. Sometimes I feel servant to currents mostly deep within and far outside of me, lol.

And the tab-out on escape isn't a big issue at all; it just took me a couple page reloads to find the right key-press to get out of it.

This is such a fun story, and an enjoyable way to play through it! I was a little confused at the point of the blank screen and got stuck on that for a while (lol), but otherwise, I really liked it.

I honestly just wanted the story to keep going! And it would be so fun to see Molly's icon update as she develops. Great work.

Good job! It's a tough one.

I'm glad it's working on mobile! The main trouble I ran into when testing on mobile is that the ring fails to display its hint. The hint reads,

The Crow Queen's Tower:
Wander east until the trees have given way to boulders.
Wander south until the holes have filled with bubbling tar.
At this junction of tree, rock, pit, and pool, the Tower you shall find.

Which is a guide to navigating the desert, to the east of the Spring. Good luck and let me know if you're still running into issues!

Hm, it's possible there's something glitching. However, this is how I do it: scroll the page to the right until you stop seeing the big trees and start seeing the big rocks, then scroll the page down until you stop seeing the empty holes and start seeing the pools of tar. That should be the x/y position of the tower. I'd be curious to hear if it's still not working!

I'm glad you're enjoying it! If you're lost in the desert, try exploring the riverbed first--there's a crow in the riverbed guarding a hint to navigating the desert.

The crow lady was a blast to design and draw! Thank you for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I'm so glad you liked it!!

Thank you for leaving such an in-depth and kind comment. I have to admit that I'm impressed with your analysis. It's like you had access to my to-do list and knew exactly what I had to cut in order to get the game to a basic completed state in time (music, transitions between areas, multiple more characters and challenges).

Your mention of children's books is fascinating to me, partly because someone else said the same thing about the riverbed section, where you're scrolling down while surrounded by crows. That's not intentional, but I totally can see it. Something about that format of storytelling lends itself well to this kind of gameplay.

I've found people's responses--and especially yours--to this little game very encouraging: almost everyone says simply that they want to see more. That's an incredibly nice thing to hear, and tells me I'm on the right track.  Thank you again.

I hadn't known about the flash game, but you got me to watch a youtube documentary on it. They did some fairly impressive stuff, so now I have more cool ideas of what looks good in a browser. Thanks!

Thank you for leaving such a nice comment! It's really gratifying to hear that there are people who are interested in this style of game, because I find it really fun to work on.

Very good job finding that! I hid that object so well that I forgot to take it out of the game myself. If you run into this problem, refreshing the itch page will reset you to the beginning but your progress will be saved.

I'll patch that in the next update.

Wow, I completely forgot about the well. That was planned to be part of a very hard-to-find side quest (so it's very impressive you found it!). I didn't get to it before the end of the jam, and forgot to remove it before publishing. Sorry about that! I'll add a warning to this page for now and make sure that's patched in the next update.

This is very cute. I loved all of it (except maybe the fights). But this is a good length of game for a jam, and super wholesome story!

I like the art, and once I figured out how the minigames worked, had a great time! There are little polish items if you were to continue work on it, like not having dialogue get in the way of a time-pressure situation, but generally a good concept with a variety of mechanics. (Happy cows really do make the breast milk)

This is very fun, and such natural dialogue! Love what you've done here, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the game wasn't the visual novel format I was expecting from this engine--this was very creative. If I have any suggestions, it's just that I'd like the cut scenes to feature the girls' bodies more prominently, but that's just a personal preference. :)

Thank you!

I'm glad to hear that the consensus seems to be that you want more—I wish I could have gotten to everything I had planned! Thank you for leaving such nice feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback! I truly value it--I have no sense of difficulty when play-testing on my own.

In the ravine, there's a hint hidden by the crows that tells you how to navigate the desert. I totally agree that it would be better if the game clearly indicated to the player that they need to gain information before entering the desert. I'm sorry you spent so long wandering, since the desert really is massive and empty. 😅

I'm glad you enjoyed the other parts of it! I hope to improve and add to it in the future.

I've technically managed to finish the game on a phone, but I do recommend PC. Some details/hints are impossible to find without a mouse.

Thank you for commenting—I like these ideas! I don't think I'm going exactly in the idle game direction with the development I've been working on, but I hope you will enjoy it anyway.  And maybe I'll return to this later and expand the idle side more....

Good suggestions. I'll see what I can do.

There are currently no plans to add birth scenes

Good point! I'll make sure to let you hide dialogue boxes at any time in the next version.

There might be something along those lines cooking in the update... ;)

Glad to hear the web version is working! I've now removed the tag for Android, as I can't test that myself to make sure it's working.

And...I'm working on the update as I type this. I hope to have a new version out somewhat soon, if irl work isn't too busy. Exciting things like color are in the works.

Thank you for the in-depth feedback!

I'll try to play around with some things to see if I can fix the issues on android! I don't have one to test it on, though, so no promises. I'm also hoping to get the game to just run in the browser on itch, but there have been some persistent graphical glitches where images load in the wrong order.

On to the game! This prototype is super simple, basically just a test of "can-I-make-the-belly-move". It's funny, a lot of your "pre-suggestions" (expression changes, ability to go back, auto progression, increased click effectiveness) were things I had tested when developing it—some might actually still be in the public 0.2 build haha

I love your extra suggestions. I got fairly far on a huge update: new rooms, different characters, a currency system, dialogue trees, a story, new art (with color! so it's not blindingly white lol)... but I got really stuck on a few bugs with the dialogue system and irl work got pretty busy, so I haven't come back to work on it in a couple months. Integrating a robust dialogue system from scratch proved surprisingly difficult, most likely because this is my first real programming project and I'm doing it without using any pre-existing tools, engines, or tutorials (just javascript!)

I very much am planning to come back to it (ideas for how to fix my dialogue code keep popping into my head while I'm in the shower) and it's been a great encouragement to see that people are into the idea and want to see more.

Thank you again for the comment! It's heartening to hear your thoughts and enthusiasm.

(and here's a little screenshot of what the game looks like now, with a new room and one of the new characters:)

I like your ideas! I'm going to go back to the drawing- and story-board to make this into a real game, with a sense of progression beyond the first gameplay loop. I'll definitely be considering all of these suggestions in that process.
