Hm, it's possible there's something glitching. However, this is how I do it: scroll the page to the right until you stop seeing the big trees and start seeing the big rocks, then scroll the page down until you stop seeing the empty holes and start seeing the pools of tar. That should be the x/y position of the tower. I'd be curious to hear if it's still not working!
