Want to try it? https://ed-lytle.itch.io/far-out-finley

In Far-Out Finley, you control Finley the alien as he runs around a number grid collecting power ups, avoids meteors, a bug wizard (what?), and the infinite void, and most importantly, collects tiles that fit into certain groups of numbers.

The main objective is to find as many numbered tiles as you can before falling off the board and into space. You have full control over what number group you want to look for. You aren't penalized for your choice in any way, so feel free to play in any way you see fit.

However, this is a game that is still very much in development. Almost nothing about it is set in stone yet, and I would really like to see what an audience would have to say about it. For this reason, not only do I invite anyone who is reading this post to come try the beta for free, but afterwards, I invite anyone who has a suggestion to openly share it, explain what they like and do not like about the game, and offer their insights on how to best move forward.

If you play this game, and have a suggestion, feel free to let me know about it! It may become a feature in future updates of the game.

Here are some screenshots:

I hope to see you over at the game's page to give your feedback and suggestions, and I hope you will also stay around to see what is to come.

Hi,

I've been making games for about a year and a half now, and recently have been encouraged by some family members to try making a mobile game, so I did that. The game is simple. You run away from monsters that are faster than you, but you can lure them into bushes to slow them down and get away, and you can use some pwer ups that occasionally spawn in to keep the monsters at a distance and get some bonus points. The controls are very simple. Just tap the where you want to move to on the screen or use arrow keys if those are available to you. I don't have the resources to put the game on Apple's App Store, but I had the solution of putting a browser version on this website to accomodate people who may not have access to Google Play. If you can think of a way I could imporve this game please let me know. I can't grow as a game developer if I don't get any constructive criticism.

If you end up liking this, be sure to share this with other people. Thank you for reading this, and have a nice day.

Over a year ago, I made a game and shared it around. The general consensus seemed to be that my idea was good, but needed some work. So I took the time to tweak things to peoples' liking (Have enemies come in waves, add a progress bar, etc), worked on a sequel based around the feedback I got, and fourteen months later, here we are! I hope those of you who check this game out end up liking it! :)
