I built Spaceword because I wanted a word game I could enjoy with my friends—without aggressive monetization. But I also wanted to take the genre somewhere new.
You may think you know the rules, but Spaceword offers much more than a traditional word game.
My favorite is Race Mode: empty your letter bag before everyone else. Nobody cares about scoring the perfect word—it’s about playing fast and not being the last person stuck with letters. It becomes competitive, chaotic, and genuinely fun.
There’s also a Random Board Mode, where every board is procedurally generated. Familiar strategies won’t always work, so every match creates a different challenge.
And yes, you can tease your friends with the emote system! Sending a cute animal after a great—or terrible—play is one of my favorite parts of the game.
Spaceword also includes:
