I liked how the control information was integrated into the gameplay by having the signs at the back of the level explaining to you how to do different actions. However, I'd say that the sword mechanic feels pretty limited, especially with the many enemies you have to deal with throughout. Modifications to this weapon's range of attack or maybe the speed you can hit targets with would probably resolve this issue. Good job!
I really like the aesthetic of your game! The assets are really cool, and the camera movement as it transitions between areas of the map is well done. You did a good job creating an atmospheric environment. However I wish there was one of those speed multipliers some RPGs have for combat turns and actions to speed up the fighting, since it is a little lengthy. Good job!
I like the assets and the way the zombies come towards the player. The inclusion of sound such as the reload sound was well executed and added to the experience. Not knowing where the zombies are located is a little confusing but adds to the difficulty which is cool. I just wish the map were a little more expansive, since I think a bigger arena to explore while killing zombies would be fun to have. Overall good job!
I really like how atmospheric this game is, the tomb levels are well designed and interesting to navigate through. One nitpick I have is that the player model being just a capsule in such a developed and immersive environment made it feel a little out of place. A save system or checkpoint system might be a good addition to make the user experience a little less frustrating. Good job!
The weapon switching mechanic was pretty cool! One thing I'd have to say is that the way the enemies would clump together on top of each other was a little visually jarring. I might suggest making it so that the enemies bounce off of each other or prevent overlapping/clipping of their models in some way. Nice work!
The atmosphere of this game was very cool and I feel like you guys did a really good job executing the setting of an art museum after dark. I liked the way you had to break the glass to get the key to progress. The inclusion of puzzle mechanics was definitely a nice touch. The last level felt a little out of place with the assets in comparison to the previous ones. The stealth mechanics, despite being kind of unexpected, were still well executed. Good job!
The sprite designs are really cool, and nice work on the animations. Good job making the music yourself instead of using a sample. However, the looping of the five seconds felt really repetitive after a while. The slide mechanic also looked pretty sick. Another minor problem was that some of the sounds felt delayed, and better timing on the feedback would probably fix this problem.
I love the aesthetic and concept for this game! The idea of it all taking place on pieces of paper is really fun and reminds me of Drawn to Life which is pretty nostalgic. The levels were also creatively and well structured. I agree that some indicator of the dash cooldown would be a nice addition. Good job!
I really like all of the graphics and art assets included in this game, they really work together to make a cool world to experience and play through. The UI is well made, although the health bar and weapon status bar feel like they could maybe be moved to another area of the screen to block off less of the player view, like maybe next to each other on the top. Good job!
This game feels complete, like a prototype that could be released which is really impressive. The wall running felt awesome to play though the controls for it were a little unintuitive and the overall gameplay feel is pretty smooth. The boss fight is really cool albeit hard for me to attempt successfully. The level design is also really fun and striking, and the minimalistic style is a cool addition to the game's visual identity. The lack of checkpoints is a little frustrating, but that might also just be a skill issue thing... Great job!
This game looks amazing! The enemy AI and animations are also super impressive, and the environment, music, and layout are immersive and help the player really get into the experience. If I had to comment on something, I'd say that the control instructions being permanently on screen is helpful to remind the player but it is also very small and the font color is a little hard to read. Aesthetically, it might be something better allocated to a separate popup screen or button where the player can pause and check the controls in menu. Overall, really good job and I enjoyed your game a lot!
