Hello!

Thank you so much for playing our game and for all the compliments! We're really glad to hear you liked it. :D It means a lot to us!

To answer your questions:

1. Yes, most otomes have good - neutral - bad endings where you die in LI dies in the bad ending or something of that sort, but we felt that this type of system did not suit AIRIS's story. To very briefly explain, the writers of AIRIS thought that it is important to give players the freedom to make choices to influence the story in a game like AIRIS where the themes of the story revolve around freedom and choice. If there's a bad ending, then that means there must be some sort of right vs wrong choices, where if you pick the wrong choice one too many times, you end up with a bad ending. In our opinion, this delineation of right vs wrong choices reduces the liberty one has in making choices, because you can't really just pick any choice you want; there's a right choice that you should pick. That's not to say that this system is bad or anything — lots of otomes and visual novels have done really well using this system, but we just felt that this system did not fit with AIRIS and the kind of branching story we want to tell.

2. No, there is no screen in game that displays your hidden stats. Your stats are not displayed in game at all. As said above, we want players to feel free in making the choices they want in AIRIS rather than try to manipulate the stat numbers to what they want, and there are walkthroughs if you want to get different endings, so we did not want to show the hidden stats to players. We apologize if it has caused any confusion or inconvenience for players.

We hope these answers are satisfactory for you.

Thank you again for playing our game and leaving a comment! :)

Hey! Thank you for the reply.

I think from what you've mentioned, it might have been one of the old versions (since the "son" thing was fixed in the newest version that was uploaded just a week ago). It's my fault I never updated the changelog because I forgot about the updates section of the page but>_< And I didn't update the version number, because if I change the directory name (from 1.2 to 1.3), when I reupload it to Mediafire / other mirrors, it doesn't just replace the old files but upload as a new file instead, which means it has a new URL, and I end up having to update all the mirror links across all our posts / websites, and I was too lazy to do so, haha. But you're right, calling it all v1.2 is probably unclear, so I'm going to update the version number later after I go through the whole script again to check for any remaining errors and make other changes. Thanks for pointing that out!

Regarding "themself" issue, thank you for your input! I asked my non-binary editor (for our next otome game in progress) and a few non-binary friends, and they said it's not a big deal either way, but I think I'm going to go through the script and change all "themselves" to "themself" when referring to Lyall, since I definitely don't want to ruin the immersion for any non-binary players. Thank you so much for pointing that out since you're the first one to alert me to this problem!

I would very much love more advice on writing non-binary representation, and I have mentioned you in a tweet on Twitter from my personal account since I can't send you a message without you following me. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Anyways, so I'm going to upload a new version shortly that should fix everything, so maybe you can download the new version just for fun xD. Thank you very much again for playing AIRIS and writing your comments!

Hello!

Thank you so much for playing our game! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed it.

Thank you so much for the compliments! It means a lot to me as a writer to hear you liked the plot and endings. I'll pass on your compliment to the CG / chibi CG artists as well!

Again, thank you so much for playing our game!

Hey there! Thank you very much for playing our game! We're really glad to hear you liked it. :)

Man, I adore MMOs so if only we could make one ;; Pity it's so much effort and money to make one though. It'd be amazing haha.

Glad to hear you liked Everea! Both writers wrote the route, and though one of them is now no longer with the team, I'll pass on your compliments to her!

Ah, do you remember when you downloaded the game? Because you might be playing an old version, since I've uploaded a fix in back in July which should have fixed all the pronoun issues, as well as another hotfix recently that changed to gender-neutral words like "child". If you end up catching any errors in the newest versions, please do note the lines down if possible and send it to us by email! I'll go through the script once more tonight to see if there are any more problems! Apologies for that; it takes me some time to go through Lyall's script carefully since I don't know it very well because the writer of Lyall's route has left the team already.

Regarding the "themself" issue, we've actually done some research before writing, and we've found some blogs run by non-binary people / other sites that say both "themselves" and "themself" are acceptable, and therefore, we went with "themselves". Here are some links for your reference:

https://theyismypronoun.wordpress.com/2016/06/10/themself/

http://askanonbinary.tumblr.com/post/78016295839/i-feel-very-silly-for-asking-th...

https://nonbinary.miraheze.org/wiki/Singular_they

https://www.mypronouns.org/they-them/

Please do let me know if this is actually wrong, and I'll correct it if that's the case. I'm always eager to learn about proper non-binary representation since it's important to me to be respectful.

Thank you very much again!

Hey there!

Oh my god, I'm so sorry this is such a late reply because for some reason, I never saw a notification for this, and I never scrolled that far down on the comments list and didn't see your comment until today.  So I'm only replying to this now, but uh, better late than never maybe?

Ah, again, we are really sorry for any pronoun errors for Lyall! We were not as thorough with editing the script as we should have been because of the tight deadline. Entirely our fault. If I had seen this comment earlier, I'd definitely have requested you to send us an email with all screenshots of errors, but actually, last July or so, someone else pointed out pronoun errors, and I ended up going through the entire script looking for any errors, so they should have all been caught and fixed! The new versions should be free of pronoun errors, but if you ever do end up replaying the game (though I'm not sure why haha) and still find any, please do send us an email at general@ebulliencegames.com! We make it our priority to treat gender identity as respectfully as possible.

Regarding contractions and such, Lyall's route was not actually written by me (Windchimes), and the other writer has since left the team, so I can't really respond to that critique on her behalf. But as I'm writing another non-binary character in our next otome game, I will definitely keep your suggestion in mind!

Thank you so much for being so kind about Lyall! It's really encouraging to hear positive comments about our non-binary character, because we were trying something new, and we were very worried about whether we were doing representation respectfully. We're really glad you liked their character!

Thank you for your piece of advice regarding writing non-binary characters as well! I'll definitely be keeping that in mind as I write our next non-binary character in our new otome game in progress, though we've also been fortunate enough to have a few non-binary friends be more involved in the story process as well as frequently being consulted for feedback. We're also planning to recruit some non-binary players to beta test the game before release to sensitivity test and make sure we have not accidentally included any offensive materials. So hopefully, our next game will still be able to respectfully portray non-binary characters (despite being a historical setting). We know we all have a lot to learn in terms of writing and representing diversity properly, so please feel free to send us any feedback or advice! We'd very much appreciate it.

Thank you very much for playing our game, and once again, I'm so sorry for the ridiculously late reply (if you ever even see this since it's been this long, haha.)

Hello! Thank you very much for playing our demo, and we're glad to hear you liked it! :) Thank you so much for the compliments <3 We're sure you'll be able to draw gorgeous art one day!

If you want to keep up with our updates on this game's development, we suggest you to follow our Tumblr: http://ebulliencegames.tumblr.com/ We post updates at least once every month on the blog! :)

To answer your question, yes, the murderer is the same in every route. All four routes tell a different story that's part of the whole picture, so that hopefully, when you finish all four routes, that's when you'll be able to fully understand every facet of the mystery and all the people who are involved. But overall, the answer to the mystery is the same — you just discover different aspects and parts of it in each route.

Just to clarify, in case there's been any confusion, the murder mystery is a main plot point and genre of this game, but this technically would not fall under the genre of a detective game. In our opinion, detective games have more focus on solving the mystery through various gameplay element, such as finding clues and interrogating suspects like in Sherlock Holmes and you can guess the wrong culprit through your  choices. However, while this otome game revolves around a murder mystery, and the player, as the main character, will get to make choices such as which suspect to question and what to ask, it's more of... a guided narrative rather than a real detective game. Basically, unlike detective games where the player's focus is to find out who is the criminal through various minigames and such, this visual novel is focused on the story of Elvira which involves her solving the mystery (like, for example, a traditional murder mystery book). I hope this makes sense — just wanted to clarify in case any players get their hopes up and misunderstand what this visual novel will be like, and then be disappointed when they purchase the game to play.

Again, thank you very much for your support! We really appreciate it <3 We'll continue working hard to finish the game as soon as possible!

Hello! Thank you so much for the comment, and we're super sorry for the late reply! The notification email from Itch.io was buried by other emails in our account so we didn't notice it at all until I logged on here to update the game information.

Anyways, we're really glad to hear you enjoyed the demo so far! Thank you very much for pointing out the typos — we've fixed the embarrassing mistakes in the script now. :)

As the writer, I'm very happy that you liked the characters!  I put a lot of effort into crafting the side characters because I think side characters with depth are important to the story, so it's great that at least one player likes the side characters! Rosalind is one of my favorite characters as well — and she's definitely not an airhead at all ;) You'll find out more about her in August's route primarily.

Elvira is certainly a fun character to write as well! It was kind of a struggle at first to convey her coldness and sheer emotional insensitivity because I've never written a main  character like that before, so I'm glad to hear it was portrayed well enough that players picked up on it. And yes, the artist really did a great job on her design!

Your comment about there not being enough Charlotte in the demo is a fair point. The reason Charlotte has less screen time compared to the other love interests in the demo is that Elvira is kinda expected to spend the initial couple weeks getting used to being a lady and investigating the nobles, particularly Julius whom the marquess suspects the most, so she is more preoccupied with other suspects for the time being and doesn't have enough opportunities to run off to the orphanage, especially since Seth believes Boss that Charlotte knows nothing and would disagree with Elvira's choice, thinking it's a waste of time. Still, I think you have a good point regarding there not being enough Charlotte in the demo, which isn't fair to her or GxG fans, so I'll go back to the common route later on to see if I can include more Charlotte appearances, or at the very least, make the orphanage scene longer! Regarding whether Charlotte knew Elvira when they were kids... you'll find out the answer in the full route! ;) Don't want to spoil anything at this point.

August (though be careful about calling them a dude!) definitely had interesting friendships with Lydia and Julius! It'll be revealed in both August and Julius's routes why this pair of friends fell out, and you may even get to help them mend their friendship through certain choices! ;) And yes, I love writing August and Rosalind's sibling relationship!

Oh yeah, Seth definitely has... issues, but who wouldn't after the kind of life and childhood he's led? Boss is definitely a handful for sure,  though I'd like to think she has a lot of depth to her and she isn't purely the bad guy one might consider her to be. I can reveal that Boss will play an important role in Seth's route — one of the themes of his route is dealing with the effects of abuse and his relationship with his motherly figure, Boss. So let's just say his blind loyalty to Boss will be dealt with in his route. So... play his route, because he needs your (Elvira's) guidance and help to grow and learn to deal with Boss!

Aw, although you like Julius least, I'm glad you still like him! I don't want to reveal right now whether Julius was in love with Lydia because that's spoilers, but I'd like to clarify that Julius has never seen and will never see Elvira as as replacement for Lydia, because since the very first minute he laid eyes on Elvira and realized who she is, in his mind, Elvira and Lydia are two very different people, no matter how much they look alike. His relationship with Lydia, as well as any awkwardness Elvira might feel about being with him considering she looks so much like his ex-fiancee, will be dealt with in his route, so I hope you give him a chance anyway! :)

Regarding your questions about Gertrude:

  • She's definitely capable of fighting and doing missions! She's probably even better than Elvira at hand-to-hand combat, but she doesn't really go out on missions anymore since handling the running of the organization takes up most of her time, and she has retired into more of just a leader position and uses her connections to get jobs for the members. She still has a fearsome reputation on the streets though for all the successful missions and assassinations she's pulled off like eight years ago.
  • She never reveals her exact age to anyone, but I can say that she's in her early thirties.
  • Her hair is styled that way both just because it looks intimidating and because she was injured on that side of her face before, which left bad scars, so she tries to hide them with her hair.
  • If you ask her what hair products she uses, she'll just say none, her hair is naturally fabulous because of her amazing genes ;)

As for your questions about Lydia:

  • I can't reveal too much about her involvement or degree of fault in her own death, because it'd spoil the mystery, but let's just say she certainly had some role to play.
  • Her honesty... Ha, another hard question to answer without giving away too much. Let's just say she's very used to putting up the right kind of mask around the right kind of people, as you probably have seen in the demo already, so she's... honest without being honest. You'll get to understand different aspects of her character more in each route as Elvira's investigation gets deeper and more of the mystery is revealed.

Questions about the game:

  • Regarding how much time the story spans over in game, it definitely varies from route to route, and it's also not specifically stated exactly like which month it started and which month it is at the end of the route. But roughly, each route should be around a few months to half a year, and then there's a time skip of another few months / a year before the ending (epilogue) at the very end.
  • Again, this isn't really stated in the game, so it's just bonus info that'll be in the artbook / behind-the-scenes book, but here are the ages for the main characters:
    • Elvira: 18 (according to herself, but she can't really remember her birth year, so it's entirely possible it's wrong!)
    • Julius: 21
    • Seth: 18 (rough estimate according to Boss when she took him in when he was just a baby)
    • August: 20
    • Charlotte: 21

Thank you very much for the compliments on the writing and art! We're glad to hear you like them :)

Again, thank you for taking the time to write a comment to let us know your thoughts! We'll continue working hard on the game and try to bring it to you guys as soon as possible! :)

Hello!

Thank you so much for the compliments! ^^ We're very glad to hear you like the characters and GUI. :D We'll definitely continue working hard so we can bring the full game to you guys as soon as possible!

Hello!

Thank you so much for playing AIRIS and for taking the time to write a review! We're very happy to hear that you enjoyed the game that much! :D

You're right, Kylan's route is probably the best one to start with! When we were developing the game, us writers briefly discussed the recommended route order, and we both agreed Kylan should be the first, though we couldn't come to a conclusion on whether Lyall or Everea should be last. So it's really cool that you had the same feeling as us regarding this issue!

Ah, thank you for reporting the bugs! Will definitely take a look into them when I have time. Strange that we didn't catch these bugs previously during beta testing. May I ask which platform you were playing AIRIS on? We apologize for the bugs, by the way! We didn't have time to do thorough testing because of the time limit of the game jam T_T

It means a lot to us that you learnt something from our game! It's such a high compliment to us that we successfully provoked thoughts from the players when they played our game!

Gasp, fanart? We would be so honored to receive any fanart! ;o; If anyone happens to want to submit any fanart, you can send them through our Submit box on our Tumblr (http://ebulliencegames.tumblr.com/submit), or post the piece of art on Tumblr or Twitter and tag us (@ebulliencegames for Tumblr, @EbullienceGames for Twitter). We'll reblog / retweet any fanart / fanfiction of our games! :)

Again, thank you so much for playing our game and writing a review! :D We hope you'll give our future games a try as well! ^^

Hello!

Thank you very much for your interest in our game!

Yes, the Android version is exactly the same as the desktop one. :) Though we would recommend players to play on the desktop version, since the game was originally developed for desktop, the PC version would probably be more stable and fluid than the Android version.

Again, thank you for your interest, and we hope you give our game a try!

Hello there!

Apologies for the super late reply! We somehow missed the email notification, so we weren't aware there were new comments posted on this game.

We're sorry to hear you had trouble reading the text because of the font T_T We hope you didn't give up on the game because of that, but if you did, let us know, and we may consider possibly uploading another version of the game with enlarged font sizes. :)

Thank you very much for your interest in our game, and we're sorry for your troubles!

Thank you so much for playing our game and taking the time to write a comment! We're very happy to hear that you enjoyed the game overall! :) Thank you as well for the points of critique — we'll definitely take them into consideration, because it's helpful for us to know what our players want in future visual novels. ^^ We do apologize for the lower quality of the CG art — we were running out of time for this game jam, since this game was created for a game jam with a time limit of 30 days, so we rushed a lot on certain aspects of the game and didn't really do as well as we could have.

We'll definitely have GxG routes in our future VNs! We're currently working on a new commercial otome that has a GxG route as well, in case you're interested. :)

Again, thank you very much for playing AIRIS and for writing a comment!

Hello! I must apologize for the late reply >_< I don't log on the CatfishCrew account anymore as I'm usually on this EG account to keep track of our new games under this account, so I didn't see the notifications about new comments.

First, to answer your question, yes the CGs were drawn by three artists in the team who stepped up to finish the CGs together after our initial CG artist left so that we could actually release the old version on time for NaNoRenO. As a result, there will definitely be art inconsistencies; sorry to hear you didn't like them! We have a new CG artist now responsible for the CGs of the full version, so hopefully that helps!

Secondly, thanks for your critique on the story! The script was extremely rushed because we wrote all 75k in the span of 30 days for NaNoRenO lol. Sorry to hear you didn't like the game, though! Those issues should be improved upon in the new version.

Thanks for the comment and interest anyway :)

Yes, Nicholl is now a love interest you can choose to romance in the new demo of the full version that we just recently released! :) Currently, 2-3 of the scenes in his route is covered in the demo. Hope you enjoy romancing Nicholl if you end up trying the new demo!

Yes, we're aware some antivirus programs flag our game as a virus, even though all the AV softwares we have access to all report our game files as clean. If you are concerned and would rather not trust that it's a false positive, we totally understand. Sorry for the problems, but thank you for your interest in our game!

If you happen to still have our old NaNoRenO version downloaded, I believe you can try to workaround that problem on Mac by right-clicking the game file and clicking Show Package Contents > Contents > MacOS > Lads in Distress game file again. It should also bring up the terminal, but the game should be able to run properly then. I believe this issue is because the NaNoRenO version of LiD isn't compatible with the new MacOS updates, but who knows ;o; Anyways, that's one workaround we found, but we would definitely suggest you to forget the old NaNoRenO version and just try our new demo for the full version which we recently uploaded for the full experience! Haha.

Thank you for your interest in LiD again! Really sorry about the late reply ;o;

Anyways, thank you very much for the kind words and compliments! :D We're really glad that you like Charming; we wanted to make a proactive protagonist, so we're glad that the players like her too!

We now have a new demo for the full version of the game up, which covers the new common route + 2 scenes per route (with Ellis and Nicholl as two new love interests), in case you're interested! :)

Thank you again for playing LiD!

Hello! Thanks for playing the demo and getting back to us with your feedback so quickly! ^_^

Thank you very much for the compliments and kind words! It particularly means a lot to me that you said the writing has improved. Turns out a year of constant VN writing can do a lot for your writing skill lol. Re-reading old script for NaNoRenO version seriously makes me cringe now, so I'm really happy that players feel that the writing in the new demo is better in comparison!

Haha, yes! I definitely had fun writing Ellis. Poor Charming has probably never been rejected before in her life, so I thought it would be fun when one of the princes don't actually want to marry her. ;)

Thank you! I'm so happy and relieved you like Nicholl's route. His is definitely the route I'm most nervous about, since it's new and so many fans have been waiting for a Nicholl route that I was worried the actual route would disappoint, haha.

Yay! Glad to hear you think Mer's route has improved and didn't disappoint you as a fan of the old route. We definitely put in a lot of work trying to rewrite and improve his route, as I believe many players previously criticized parts of Mer's route. The conversation about body swapping actually was in the NaNoRenO version as well! We just rewrote it to make it flow better and be more natural and, well, more hilarious so that it'd be more memorable. Thank you for the compliments! Really glad to hear you liked the new version of Mer's route.

Again, thank you for playing our new demo and for letting us know your thoughts! It means a lot to us :D Hopefully you'll enjoy the final full version too when the time comes!

(Just a note to start off with: This is Windchimes, the writer of Lads in Distress / Catfish Crew. I'm just using this account for our new VN studio to answer comments because I have added this account as a contributor to LiD project, and it's easier to monitor all our games under both CC and EG from this account alone.)

Hello! Thank you for trying our new demo and for the detailed feedback! Don't worry, we don't mind long comments at all ^_^

We're glad you like the new demo! :D It particularly makes me happy that you felt the writing has improved. Crazy how much one year of constant VN writing can do, huh? Looking back on the old NaNoRenO script makes me cringe now lol.

Thank you for the compliments on the art! We were worried about whether fans would be unhappy about art inconsistency with the changes in the character artist position, so we're glad to hear you like the character/CG art and Ellis's new design!

Haha, glad to hear you like Tabitha! Yes, she can definitely be pushy, but that's why she's such great friends with Charming ;) Charming needs strong characters like Tabitha as friends or else she'd probably scare all of them away, lol. Yes, I'd say Ellis's social awkwardness is part of his charm. It's so different from all the princes Charming meets daily that she's drawn to it in a strange way. ;)

Ah, another Nicholl fan! Honestly, with how much fans were asking for a Nicholl route for NaNoRenO version, I was so nervous about whether this Nicholl route would let you guys down, so I'm glad to hear you like his route! As for the melon garden... It's actually a joke / meme that started in our public Discord server with fans, so blame them! I ended up making it canon because it fits and it's hilarious, so the melon garden will definitely come up more often in Nicholl's route!

Haha, Beau and Hood... Maybe in a distant future. xD No promises yet! Sorry for the disappointment though OTL We really didn't want to cut them, but we had no choice ;o;

The full game will indeed continue to be free! So no worries about that :D After all, we're using a lot of CC-NC background resources, so we can't make the game commercial even if we wanted to, unless we want to commission full set of original backgrounds lol.

Anyways, thank you again for playing our demo and letting us know your thoughts! ^_^

Hi! Thanks for the interest in our new demo! ^_^

To address your concerns, first, while Mer's route has been almost entirely rewritten, the actual plot of his route stays the same. As you'll see from the first two scenes of his route in the demo, while the writing has changed, the overall idea of the scene and the events that occur are the same. In the eventual full version, there'll be additional scenes as well to improve the pacing of the route. We hope to keep the essence of Mer's old route in the new version so that the Mer fans won't be too disappointed by the changes! :)

Second, the new version of LiD is deliberately named differently so that when you extract it, it won't overwrite the old NaNoRenO version of the game. So you should be able to keep both versions on your computer, though of course, we ask that you keep the old version to yourself please :)

Again, thank you very much for your support, and we hope you like the new demo!

Hi! Thank you so much for playing the demo and leaving a comment! :)

We're glad to hear you enjoyed it! :D We'll continue working hard on the game ^_^ Thank you so much for the encouragement!

Hello there! Thank you very much for playing the demo and leaving a comment! We're very happy to hear you like our games! :D

Aww yus! We put in a lot of effort into the choices to make them seem meaningful and important ^_^ While in the full game, there will admittedly be some dialogue choices that will change how a conversation goes, most choices will have consequences, even aforementioned choices that change dialogue: some just take a while before you see the full consequences of your actions (e.g. chose to befriend and be nice to a side character? Maybe they'll help you later on down the road when you need it.)

:D Glad to hear you like Julius! Our friends tend to prefer Seth and August, so poor Julius has been unloved until now LOL

Thank you for your kind words and vote of confidence! We'll try to make the game as great as possible! :)

Hello there!

Thank you so much for playing our demo, as well as taking the time to leave a detailed comment! We very much appreciate it :D

You certainly raised an interesting issue! It's quite difficult to explain, actually, but I'll try my best anyway!

As you said, this is ultimately a romance game. Therefore, the story will first branch into four different routes / storylines based on which love interest you're closest with (or perhaps most suspicious of!) at the end of the common route (around the point where the demo ends). After that, the game will offer different choices that then determine your ending. While the common route offers choices that mostly require the player choosing a suspect / love interest to focus on, after the player ends up on one character's route, the choices will change and follow a particular theme special to that route. Some choices will be mystery-oriented, some will be romance-oriented, while some will be mixed. Endings are not dependent on only the romance-oriented choices and how much of a relationship you've built up with your chosen partner. Therefore, we can safely say that you cannot only focus on the romance with the chosen love interest in order to get the "happy" ending!

However, we should also be clear upfront that while there will be choices similar to the common route where Elvira can choose different targets to investigate or recruit for help, this game is a romance game first and foremost rather than a detective game. Therefore, while the story will change and adapt according to the player's choices, for most endings, the murder mystery will be resolved, and the murderer will be revealed. If you're disappointed by this answer, hopefully this next small reveal will make it a bit better: The murder mystery is a lot more complicated than just whodunit, so each route will reveal a different portion of the mystery (as well as possible side mysteries, e.g. has anyone wondered why Elvira shares such a striking resemblance with Lydia?). Hopefully, only after playing all four routes at least once will the player be able to piece together the whole big picture and answer all the questions that were left unanswered in individual routes.

As for your question about whether there will be bad endings available -- it highly depends on what you consider as bad endings. We personally do not believe in making a game where we offer choices to players but there's a "right" and "wrong" choice, so that too many "wrong" choices will lead to a "bad" ending / game over to "punish" the player, where e.g. MC or love interest dies or love interest rejects her love. Instead, we aim to create games where all choices are worth exploring and there is no "wrong" answer, so all endings are "true" in a sense. However, we can promise that there will certainly be darker endings and angst-filled endings, which may or may not include at least one ending where Elvira fails (or, rather, chooses not to?) solve the murder mystery. ;) I can't say much more on this, unfortunately, or else I would give away too many spoilers! :)

Sorry about the word vomit! I kind of went on a ramble there. I'm not sure if my answer even addressed your queries properly. OTL Apologies if my reply was completely off-topic. Feel free to come back and raise more questions again! I'd be very happy to answer them.

Thank you for the compliments! I cannot express how much an encouraging comment like this means to us. Hopefully, it will be as you say, and we'll be able to attract customers in the future :) We'll certainly be doing our best to offer an engaging, logical and consistent story in the full game!

Also, thank you for the kind words on the trailer! The video editor really did an excellent job, and we're so glad to hear that the trailer achieved its goal of drawing potential players in. :D

Again, thank you so much for leaving a comment and playing our demo. We very much appreciate your feedback!

Hey! Thank you :D I can't believe we did it

Wow, of course you have to remember and bring up my previous failure OTL LMAO Let's hope there aren't any terrible bugs I missed.

Thanks! I hope you enjoy the whole demo! :)

Hello again! Thank you very much for playing AIRIS, and we're glad that you liked it! :D

Thank you for all the compliments! ^_^ The writer for Lyall's route is super happy to hear that.

Ahh... So sorry about the typos and pronoun errors! We didn't have time to proofread or edit much because of the NaNoRenO deadline ;; We'll try to comb through the script again as soon as we have time to try and weed out the remaining errors.

SPOILER ALERT:

The endings for each character are arranged in terms of difficulty to get :) So #1 is easiest, with the #4 hidden ending being (supposedly) hardest. Surprisingly enough, for all routes, the #2 ending is the most romantic/happiest one? So yep, you got the happiest ending for Lyall.

As mentioned before, Lyall's route is mainly made up of two points: determination and patriotism. So for hidden ending, make both as low as possible. For #3, be kinda fatalist and not patriotic. For #1, be super patriotic and determined. It should hopefully be easy enough to figure out which choices correspond to which points.

Hope the tips help! :) Let us know if you still have problems getting the endings.

Thanks again for playing! And definitely don't apologize for long comments. They make our day ^_^

Hi! Thank you very much for the kind words! :D

Yep, we have a walkthrough on Patreon. We considered your suggestion, but I think in the end we would prefer not to just sell the walkthrough on here for $1. It doesn't quite feel right because we offer the official walkthrough as a reward to Patrons who support us for $1 a month rather than just a straight up sale-and-purchase. Even if some may only intend to pledge for a month just to get that walkthrough so the amount of money we get is the same, I guess we just feel like it's better to keep it as an exclusive reward for Patrons who have shown us so much support and love ^^ I hope that makes sense, and sorry about that! Haha.

I'll be replying to your other comment soon :D

Hello! Thank you for your interest in our game and for the comment! :)

We're happy to hear you like the inclusion of a non-binary character! ^^ Yeah, we noticed nb characters aren't represented much, so we thought it'd be good to add one as a love interest.

None of us in the core team / studio are non-binary, and this game is actually our first attempt at creating a non-binary character just based off the research we did online, so please feel free to point out errors or inaccuracies or ways to improve our portrayal of a non-binary character! :) (We apologize in advance for any errors, by the way >_<) Our next otome game in the works will have a non-binary love interest as well, so your feedback would definitely help!

Again, thank you very much, and we hope you enjoy the game if you end up finding time to play it :D

Thank you! Hope you enjoy the game if you do play it! :"D

Oh my gosh, we're so honored to hear that!! We're glad you liked the characters and thought they were realistic. No, thank you for enjoying the game & for all the kind comments! We really appreciate it. Here's to hoping you enjoy our other & future games as well 8'D

Hi! Thanks for your interest in our game.

Ah, we're aware that some antivirus programs tend to flag new Ren'py games as viruses, though yours will be the first report that we've heard of for AIRIS. All the anti-virus softwares we have access to have reported our game as clean, so we don't believe it's an issue on our end with the game files. If you still want to play and you are comfortable with doing so, you can choose to whitelist the game in your antivirus. But if you are concerned and would rather not do that, then we don't really have any other suggestions (maybe report to Norton for false positive?)

Sorry for the problems, but thank you for your interest in our game!

Thank you very much! :"D We do hope you enjoy the game when you have a chance to play it ^_^
